OLIVEIRA, BROXTON AND WILLIAMS NAMED CFL AWARD FINALISTS

I predict if Gabe Wallace remains a staple with the team over the next decade he'll become a Ring of Honour member, cutting him at this stage of his career would be like the Als dumping Walby. Super Size doesn't grow on trees.

Bold prediction.  Might hinge on them finding a way to increase his speed while keeping the huge size.  Might be some brain aspects, too.  And this is a good thing, as these things are possibly improvable.

During the 7-8 games I did detailed breakdowns, I studied every run, good or bad, and tried to identify what OL were making their blocks, who was supposed to do what, whether they were doing it, and who was whiffing or blocking air.

Broxton was roughly 4 "goods" to 1 "bad".  That puts him up with our better guys like Neuf, and probably above Wallace & Els.

Maybe PFF doesn't score out run whiffs like I do, if at all.  Maybe they are more focused on pass pro?  Much easier to grade out pass-pro than figure out who is screwing up the Brady tunnel 5Y downfield.

I will say he was very stout on pass pro.  Maybe next season I'll try to separate the 2 in my grading.
