Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on October 22, 2026, 07:25:08 PMThat's not the question I was answering.  If need be any of Lawson, Gatkuouth, Elgersma, Cobb, Corcoran or Vibert can dress and stand on the sideline looking ready to go in. Half of them would enjoy a bump in pay for doing so.

In years past the Bombers always used their last few games to provide PR players bumps in pay while starters sat out, that hasn't been an option this year. More than half of that PR list is doomed, super unlikely any of them get a chance to dress for a very limited playoff run.

QB is a different category which wouldn't count against the total number of Canadians required as far as I know. It counts if starting. Gatkouth is getting a full pay check on the reserve but is also nicked.

I wouldn't expect any player on the PR past this week to get activated unless we have another injury.

Yes the others could be added and do nothing but we could let Lawson sit on the sidelines as well.

It seems that every time we've had a GTD, that player played even if reps were reduced.

Good point about Elgersma, Lawson gets full pay whether he's on the roster or the 1 game, Cobb, Corcoran or Vibert would get a bump with a game day cheque. If they want any of them to come back it's one way to dole out a favour.

Looks like Jenkins has probably beaten out Jaworski and Dixon for the D-line job but he still falls behind Fletcher and Reese as starters. As far as I know Jenkins never laid a finger on a QB in any of his starts. Decent turn-over in one season and there is the possibility Jaworski or Dixon might be back for another try next TC.

Cobb is on the 6 game IR and can't be activated without SMS implications beyond a 1 game check.

Of the 3 on the PR, Vibert might be the only one they want back in 2027. He'd also be OL depth and as I mentioned a possible short yardage big guy on defence. If we have a big lead late in the game ( lol ) he might even get some reps at center.

I'm not convinced Corcoran will be invited back. The other Canadian receiver is a newbie to the PR so he's not a likely choice.

That leaves Peterson. I have no idea if he's in the plans for 2027 or whether he's been getting any reps to work on ST's beyond back up return duty.

So in that sense, Vibert seems like the best choice that might actually see some reps on offence.

If you dress Vibert then I'm totally parking els. Els isn't supposed to be a 6th anyhow and looks lost.

That would allow dressing a more meaningful DI. Like that other rec we have, or maybe someone on d who's totally been off our radar.

Ok, so the graphic here shows bailey+butler. But the other thread says and shows a chart that is Horvath as number 2.

So which is it????

Horvath in and needing 1 or 2 TDS to beat Milt... I'm not sure I'm betting against that! He'll be highly motivated, as they'll probably only give him a half to make CFL history that will never be broken.

They could also just be planning to have Horvath steal a couple free 1 yard TDS. That would be better for us.

But if it's salter and Horvath and mostly the same OL most of the game then I don't see how the game goes any differently than last bc game.

Why are fans showing up for this game in droves?  Why push this game heavily?  It'll be a clinker if Horvath doesn't run most of the game.

Does BC have a plan to cream us?  They wouldn't want to lay an egg for 30k: that's not how you get marginal fans excited to show up for week 1 next season!

Very strange.

Its  Horvath.

The Lions posted an update chart later in the day.

What a bizarre situation!  Has a team ever issued 2 charts (even if just the X/socials one) hours apart?  And not even because of a GTD or injury??

And the only change is the early one shows Horvath out, newer one shows him in?

Tinfoil: I'm not the only potential gambler  who thinks that, knowing the rest of the roster, Horvath is the only thing that will determine a win vs a loss?  Did BC do this to mess with betting markets?  How many hours was there between the first chart and second??

How many people placed their bets in that time window for WPG thinking we have a great shot because the dynamic duo that hosed us last time was down a guy?

And once you place a bet on WPG, and then see the changed chart, you can't cash out your bet without taking a penalty (often 10%+), if at all.

If CFL is serious about gambling, they need to investigate what happened here.  Especially since there appears to be no explanation.  This looks like shenanigans.  If I had taken WPG with a worse payout with no Horvath, I'd be mighty upset to learn he was added in a later chart!

Playnow is still stuck at 3.3 moneyline for BC win.  I wonder if that moved to my magic 3.5 or 4+ during the window Horvath was listed as out?  If someone knew the chart was a lie, they could possibly have bet on BC, waited for the update, then cashed out, taken the 10% hit and still make money.
