If Salter is starting, we have to really stop this 3-4 garbage on D. Need to contain QB, not let off the side. This guy is faster than an LB.

If BC fields PR guys for the game, should be a Bomber win. I'd saying a 2 score lead at halftime isn't safe for this team. We've lost too many times when we've had that.

If anything, they're playing for playoff money.

Well there's the explanation I wanted to hear but it's not very reassuring, Younger knew what was coming on that last drive but half the players on the field couldn't figure it out.

Literally the biggest cop out I've ever witnessed in football.  Sure sure, the scheme is just fine, but the players didn't read Younger's mind and they're just stupid D people who can't figure it out -- dontcha know.  Did I mention, Younger thinks the scheme is fine?

He just threw every player except Kramdi under the bus.  He singled out Kramdi as the only guy who knows what's going on and needs to direct the whole thing.  Kramdi says thanks, I'm sure.

I can't express how aggravating this interview is.  At least DT tries to hold his lame butt excuses to the fire: "ya but in week 20?".  You're darn right in week 20 -- with 90% of your starters healthy and your very good backups having many games of experience -- the entire D system should know how to deal with a team who just went 90% run!  Simply no excuse for this.

So Younger said he knew exactly what was coming on the sidelines.  And so he's powerless to tell the D what to do?  What on earth are the sideline D calls for then??  What's the point of his baseball signals?

It's week 20 and you haven't created a signal for "run blitz"?  No signal for "DBs cheat closer to LoS and don't worry about over the top"?  No signal for "hey SAM & MLB, spy the RB"?  No signal for "FS play in the flat at the snap"?  No signal for "extra pass-rusher get the edge and get the RB from behind"?

The better question is: what signals DO you have?

I don't believe a word of his BS. Edmonton is up at the end of the game and wants to kill the clock, so they are going to run the ball, there is no mystery about this concept

It's week 20 and according to Younger only Kramdi knows what to do when faced with the exact same scenario BC used against us for an entire half, and EDM used against us earlier in the season?

"Teams play us different", so film isn't as useful.  Wha??  Of course teams play you differently, you can't stop any scat/edge run if your life depended on it because you don't put any players there, and you're the only team in the league to give up infinity wide outs!  Why on earth would teams with QBs who aren't dimwits throw into your max-coverage when they can take the free 7Y every snap?

Maybe if this was that first BC game where they shocked everyone by running like 50 times in one half for infinity yards... maybe Younger could use this excuse.  Because that was novel.  But it's week 20 and 3 games have had this signature!  When a team trounces you with zero risk and zero effort (BC) then you study the living heck out of that game because every good team is going to use that blueprint to give you a Bad Day until you can prove you can stop it!

Younger thought "The Salter Incident" was a one-off??  Just delete that film and stick your head in the sand?

This is acceptable?  This is THE excuse?  They think our IQ is lower than that of the D! (supposedly, according to Younger)

We can only hope this bluster and insouciance is all show for the cameras and that there is crazy work and change going on behind the scenes.  Because if they really believe what they are saying, and roll into BC and hope the players have solved cold fusion in the 6 day interval, then we are 100% totally screwed.

I almost want it to happen now.  Because if BC puts 440 ground yards on us and wins 55 to <anything>, every Bomber forum is going to blow up like a smoker in a fireworks factory.  It'll make my modest rants look tame -- and I'll be silent, except for 2 words: toldya so.  And when they come out post-game with the exact same excuses (assuming they bless us with any postgame at all), it's gonna be lit.

And I'll be the guy calling in some radio show VIBRATING.

I'll say hallelujah! and immediately start to study what Younger did differently.  I'll be happier than anyone here.  Well, unless Younger still gives up 440Y running... but I'll still take the win.

And when has that happened this season?  Twice?  Good luck with that.  3 mins left and Salter/Horvath with 3-down mode and non-stop runs?  We're royally screwed if that happens.

For those that think a win is LIKELY in any case except BC resting the entire starting D plus Horvath... think of the definition of insanity.  Doing the same thing (Younger with no scheme change since last BC game) and expecting a different result (Salter+Horvath running all over us).  How can we succeed by doing the exact. same. thing?

Playnow currently has moneyline BC at 2.75 to win (WPG -4 favorites).  Vegas pretty confident WPG will win because of the "all starters trying hard" vs "half the starters, kinda trying".  But not quite confident enough yet to reach the 3.5 I'm looking for.

It might change when the charts come out.  No Horvath + sparse starting D could move the odds more in WPG's favor.  But I probably wouldn't bite with no Horvath.  Salter alone cannot destroy us on the ground (I would hope!).  We know how to handle a Salter-like QB who has no other run game: remember facing Ford??

O we cant beat BC's B team we deserve nothing and the club needs to clean house less MOS. I would be ok with firing MOS as well. Far to many questionable roster decisions.

I feel like last weeks game was very difficult, Fajardo is a very good rushing QB, and Rankin is well...., Rankin, no surprise there. They punished us with the "threat" of a pass, and we took the bait all game long. This game will be different if Salter doesn't have Horvath to try the same antics he did last game. I suspect he's going to do the opposite of that we expect him to do and he will go pass heavy and were going to be attempting stopping the run.

Another game where we're playing against several key back ups. We need to show we can dominate a roster like that. Squeaking by wouldn't be impressive.

Losing would be total failure and heads should roll. Players are playing for their roster spots in 2027. Get it together.
