This could either be a very big game for us, or a game to rest a number of players. Regardless, our D has to be much better then have been against the run. Teams seemed a little lost with out Ayres and Smith.

Once again, we're playing with the season on the line.

We absolutely need to win this game, BC will be resting some of their starters, trouble is their backup smoked us last time we played them and that was in our barn, we re out on the left coast so things don't look good right now, forget about resting anyone!!

Smoked us?  He threw for 96 yards and rushed a bunch.  Brown was in for us and got 180 yards. They won, but I'd hardly call that smoking us.

Horvath rushed for 191 yards and 3 TDs..that's how we lost.  Their run game and our lack of stopping one.

Did anyone else notice that Rourkes non throwing hand appeared to be in some kind of splint? Did something happen in the game or earlier that I missed?

We'll be watching how the roster may change this week. Moxey and Hazen will be eligible to return. The status of Smith and Ayers is not known.

I could see Moxey returning and bumping Texada off the AR, possibly to the reserve. However that would mean Gatkouth returning to the AR.

If Hazen is ready but Ayers is not then he might be a choice made this week.

Obviously this is a game the Bombers must win. On the road against a top team.

I'd like us to win but it just delays the start of the re-build by a week. lol

Well I remember being quite embarrassed at how handily they beat us in our own barn. With a backup no less. "Smoked" certainly isn't that far out there. We are a better team now than we were then however.

Fair.. but it's due to our lack of answer for a run game.  It's true for anyone we play against.  Hopefully we will game plan for that.  Not gonna lie, I am a bit afraid of this game. Not offensive wise though.

As I sit here having a nice Sunday Morning Breakfast with no school today - Yea!!! I have mixed emotions on this one. Of course as a Bomber Fan you want to root for a victory that will get us into the playoffs one way or another! And anything can happen during playoffs!

However would a loss make any difference in terms of how fast the rebuild starts? I really think not as I doubt we will see any significant changes until early next year and what changes take place is really up in the air.

Does getting into the playoffs make the hard decisions that IMHO need to be made easier or does not making the playoffs make hard decisions easier to make? Does Bomber Management have the stones to make the hard decisions or would making the playoffs give them an excuse for minor changes vs the hard decisions that IMHO need to be made?

It will be interesting one way or another!

I was joking about starting the re-build one week earlier.

I don't think getting into the play offs or not, changes what decisions need to be made. Whether management has the balls to make some of them is more the question.

We could argue that if Collaros didn't miss 6 games and parts of others, we'd be higher in the standings. One more win could well be the difference between a 2nd or 3rd place finish or an early exit.

I would use the loss to the Lions against a rookie QB that we should have won easily and didn't. That might have been our biggest single game failure.

Anyway. Our first post season big test is what do we do about our QB's?

It doesn't matter much what happens the rest of the way, this coming off-season is critical as their status-quo, gradual change approach has begun to seriously fail, I worry if not checked they may quickly regress to the 2015 bottom feeders they were.  If they can't undertake a full revaluation of their position in the league looking forward, this regime is at risk of falling.

Winning a cup in the next 5 years is pretty unlikely until they find the right QB and team him with the right OC.

Ya, their running game smoked us, we gave up close to 400 yds on the ground, that is smoking you!!

He injured the hand against Saskatchewan in late September. He spent the last 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter in the tent.

Next game will probably be similar to yesterday's Stamps game for the Lions, play Rourke for the first half and give the second to Salter. If the Bombers keep it close they have a chance to win.

I'm already questioning Buck's wisdom on giving up on Chase Brice for a running QB, he threw away 4 season of previous experience with the team when he did so.

It's been like that for a couple of weeks now.
