Fajardo likes beating us

[Austin85]

Fajardo enjoys beating us since his days with the Roughriders. He suffered losses against us in playoff games that  he probably never forgets. He did get his glory in the grey cup game in 2023 with Montreal, although it came down  to a couple of plays late in that game, if our defense makes we win. He has not won a western final yet and although he is a great quarterback, I believe he is not a elite one until he wins the west final. BC is playing great football right now and they do have a great offense and there defense is ok . Rourke is great quarterback and I think he will beat Edmonton as long as they don't play terrible in the semi final. I know anything can happen in one game and you never know. I doubt Cody plays much next week then there is a two week layoff until the western final.  Like in the past he has not won a big west final game. Sure he won in the east final in 2023 but I think until he wins the west final he is not a elite QB In my opinion. Yes he is a grey Cup champion with a team that got hot at the right time, sort of like us in 2019. So I think this elks team is good  but we will see when the big game is on the line. Credit to him for getting there , but you sure could see his smile at the buzzer when he beat us yesterday. It's not the the big game yet Cody!!

I thought the same thing

I think he takes it personal vs Bombers or maybe it's vs Zach when he really tries to prove himself.

I'll take Rourke in this year in West Final,  unless Bombers suprise us

Areed, BC is the hottest team in the West right now, and anything can happen in the playoffs, but I like the Lions odds of going to GC

EDM will kill BC in WDF.  It won't even be close.  Because EDM is the FAR better team and FAR more consistent.  BC has their ups & downs.  EDM's D is far better, as is their ground game.  And it might be cold in EDM for WDF, and BC can't play outside their cozy dome, as proven time & again throughout the years.

Yes, Cody loves sticking it to us because we broke his heart for so many years in green.  He's a Rider at heart and always will be.  Everyone abandons Cody.  No one wants him.  No one ever picks him in fantasy.  Because he's not that good!!  His only superpower in EDM is he has Rankin.  And Cody can escape the pocket and convert by running into wide open flats probably schemed up for him just for this purpose.  He's not even fast.  Just fast enough.  His passing yards is almost always extremely low.  He still shot-puts his deep balls -- if he even chucks one in an entire month.  But for some reason he lucks into ascending teams -- quite bizarre.  But no one really wants him and no one pays him.  It's hilarious.

If EDM can get Rourke or Kelly or Alexander for '27 they'll drop Cody as fast as MTL did.  Ya, I know only Kelly is available, but the point remains.  He's the Dangerfield of CFL, but unlike Rodney, he deserves it.
