Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 01:24:41 PMWe're a bad team and we could see the problems early in the season.

Even if we make the crossover game, it isn't a receipt for success. By the end of the day we may be back in 5th place.

ST's defence and offence played a role in the loss.

The biggest question / point I might make is what the heck is going on with our run game the last 3 games. Brady had 37 yards rushing. Is this a factor of his injury on top of bad OL?

I've asked to add Peterson many times to give us some different options on offence. Whether that makes him a decoy or a runner at times, it's just new options.

Every other team with a good running game has diversified their running attack, the Bombers are still trying to make what worked 5 years ago their thing.

with the same players.

We made more mistakes than Edmonton. Used to be WE were that team. What changed? Fewer practices for one. I get that more rest is in theory good. But if we are getting beat by mistakes then I think that is not a good trade off.

I have no real idea whether Peterson has a future. There has to be something more to not having him on the AR aside from stubbornness from O'Shea and Condell.

If he's not a short or long term player in Winnipeg, then why have we not brought in any other competition.

Again, the issue is not to replace Oliveria but to utilize a different skill set at times on offence.

I think Brady is more injured than they are letting on.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

I don't listen to many O'Shea interviews.

Does he ever acknowledge that coaching came up short?

Saying they have to execute better seems to be blaming the players.

Also probably at this point there are some divisions on the team. They're all going to be in self preservation mode.

We have 26 or so potential free agents including 15 of our Canadians. There is going to be an overhaul of the roster but what form it will take is just something to watch as free agency approaches in February.

There is a string " Unofficial Current Roster " on the forum. It's a locked / pinned file.  While it's unofficial it does give us some insight.   As usual there will be changes to the roster. Some will leave for greener grass on their own, others will be released by the team. Requests for higher salaries for others may be problematic.  Who falls into which categories is just a TBD.

Quote from: dd on Today at 03:42:39 PMWhen hasn't he been invisible?!?

It was discussed going into TC that we weren't sure why he was re-signed or whether he'd end up as a starter or a DI. Once JSK got injured in TC, that changed.

I get that he's been a long term and productive player but it was time to move on IMO.

Same issues all season, clearly watching the film and correcting isn't going to work this year....oh well....we di have a heII of a run these past few years.

I think we need to get younger and faster and I think we need to look at our coordinators very hard in this soon to be offseason....Walters and OSH are here for at least a couple more and really should get the chance to "turn it around"

All season our o-line struggled, all season, nope last two two seasons our offensive game plans had no continuity and progression...for two seasons whenever we really need our defence to hold, they don't....this season has had sooo many missed tackles, and so many questionable roster decisions, singer, Kelly, so many extra Canadians, early on, what 50% or more of our defensive roster were LB's, drafting for special teams, untimely penalties, mistakes we should be making in week 1 or 2 like too many men, not enough men, in weeks 19....just way, way to many disconnects....
