Win this and they're in...? Hope the boys are fired up tonight!
Life is strange.

I think if Edmonton beats us tonight, BC can shut it down for the rest of the regular season because Calgary can't catch BC in the standings, and BC has the season series over the Riders.

The BB will need to put up a great defensive game if they want to beat the Elks today.

Without Ayres and Smith, it's going to be tough. One of our Canadian LBs is going to have to take his game to next level because Jones, Wilson, and Griffin can not play every play on D.

Disagree, defensive rotation has only become a big thing in the last decade, before that it wasn't uncommon for the D-line and LB's to play the entire game.

If they have to rely on a Natl. LB to take reps I'd put my money on Cadwallader to contribute in running situations, he's a beast and can physically dominate players when isolated one on one.

We will see. This group of Canadian LBs has 2 DTs all season. So, time will tell if Cad, or one of the others can step up and make some plays. Like to see a player like Shay step up tonight.

Sure, the forgotten Shay, times running out to fish or cut bait.

I think tonight will tell us a lot about how good we are at this late point in the season. We came off a critical win that keeps us in a good position to make the playoffs and be firmly in control of that destiny, but now we actually have to control it. Edmonton is objectively better than us over the course of the season and will be playing hard to host the west final. We should be very hungry as well to secure our own postseason.

A loss indicates that we are simply pretenders and even if we make playoffs don't stand a chance to go very far

A win against the top team in the west, on the road indicates that we are coming together at just the right time (like in 2019)

I think we might be sleeping on the importance of this game and what it will tell us.
#Ride?

Edmonton is missing Beard and Jackson tonight. Jackson in particular is a very good defensive player. The other 2 players are quite good ST players. So 3 Canadians lost for this game.

Vaval might have another very good day.

Edmonton crowd won't be huge so shouldn't be able to make a difference.

Wonder if there is enough "good Zach" left to perform at a high level throughout this game, I don't know if he'll get a chance for many rollouts that worked so well last weekend.  With Malik Carney on the prowl it's up to the O-line, the 6th man, Daniels and Brady to keep him clean. An assortment of bubble passes to Brady will slow down the rush a bit.

You nailed it here dude. I completely agree. Tonight will be the tell tail sign of your 2026 Blue Bombers. 8)

Running downs will mostly be our starting set. But they get spelled on many passing downs. I expect to see Kramdi at sam a few times, too, like he did last game. Dude is everywhere.

So don't expect too much rotation with the heavy nats, just the normal db nats. Basically, what we always do.
Never go full Johnston!

I'm just hoping the Oline made the plane and show up
