Quote from: Sir Blue and Gold on Today at 03:37:46 PMGuys, the reason we didn't hand it to Brady is because everyone plays our offense downhill, through the middle and taking away the short/intermediate passes.

This is because Brady can only run on the interior and up until now, our passing game has largely been short/medium passing because the pass protection is horrendous and Collaros/Brown aren't very good at pushing the ball down field. Collaros because he's old and rickety and Brown because it's never been his main strength.

The reason we were cooking in the first half is we essentially flipped the script by doing, pretty successfully, what we aren't very good at: deep shots down the field into one on one coverage because the defense wasn't scheming that.

Is it sustainable or even repeatable? Not sure. Probably not. But it may help you cost out whether Brady is worth the gold bricks we pay him if one of our best offensive outputs of the year was basically deploying him as decoy. And he still managed to fumble the freaking ball.

The reason we haven't been very good this year is because we're not very good. It was a fun game at stadium but there's a reason we don't typically go with that formula. It's not likely sustainable to do what we're not good at and win.

Yeah that's an issue with both MOS and Condell. We don't even seem to consider using other players as part of the offence that are on the AR like MCI. Demski has been nicked most of the year so he's seeing less activity on run plays as well.

I'd be curious to see an breakdown of A gap, B gap or C gap runs. Teams know where our runs will go and when we need it the most they take it away.

I could see Demski hanging it up after next season, especially if Zach is no longer around to feed him.  Have to find a few Natl's that can contribute as offensive weapons, the league is full of them but the cupboard is bare in Wpg.

Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 06:21:47 PMYou're the king of fake news. Printing a long list is just evasion.

I have mentioned Peterson as a rotational option or just about anybody else. I don't care who the other is but you haven't supported Brady every seeing the bench.

Most of us recognize that BO is not healthy and missing practice every week. In the last 2 weeks he's had less than 10 carries a game and less than 50 yards of production.

"Let him cook when he's hot". Why aren't we doing something when he's not? It will be no surprise when he sees little practice time this week. The only good news is that he had 2 of his best games against the Elks.
4x on being wrong.  Your arguments usually end in one of two things with me:
1. Personal shot
2. Making things up that I said that are not true

You choose option two this time lol

I live in a world of honesty and facts, doesn't mean I'm always right and its fine to disagree.  It's not fine to throw shade (based on fake news) on another poster while debating.  I take exception when people make stuff up about me or what I said.  You can keep living in fantasy island.  Look up my posts on Brady, nothing but consistently saying he plays with a few exceptions / situations / plays/ players.  Stating I said Brady should never be spelled is fake news.  My points reflect what I have already said previously here on the forum, are are consistent and my take how I approach alternatives to touches for Brady.  Nice try.  The truth will set you free.  The facts are in the history of the forum.  You quoted me saying I am ok with spelling Brady while at the same time saying I never did.  Things that make you go hmmmm.

I have supported Brady seeing the bench under specific situations.  Again fake news.  Nice try again though lol.

I agree he is knicked.  Not practicing isn't ideal but has worked thus far.  I believe he will bounce back.  Two great games followed by two wasn't used as much.  A terrific season on an average team, below average QB and OL play.

To complain about how we have used Brady in a season where he has been consistently effective is a real stretch.  He remains one of the top players in the league.  They get most the reps because they are that good.

Your argument that I said never to spell Brady or that he should never see the bench is simply not true backed by posts over the last couple of months.  I have supported Brady through the ups and downs.  You wanted him replaced, spelled, sat, etc. and that would have hurt the club, not helped it imo.

There is so much more good news than just the fact we ran good on the Elks.  We didn't sustain too many injuries last game, played well in all three phases and have momentum.  The only missing piece is a run game that sputtered.  Against Cgy that was by design.

I do not ever post fake news (knowingly).  If I do I'll own it.  Saying I am the king of fake news is, fake news.  Let's talk ball and best to take the Brady discussion off the pre game thread.  This is ridiculous.  I value your opinion and majority of your posts.  I don't enjoy this nor does anyone else.

I think he will play longer than that.

So you can accuse me of lying and fake news and it's not a personal attack but I do it and it is a personal attack.

QUOTE by you in the Trade Brady thread.  That seems black and white and not something I made up.

We will spell Brady more as he declines, while he is still in his prime, hard pass

I have defended myself, reputation and position by pointing out you were saying things about me that are not true.  There was no personal shot by either of us.  You presented lies / fake news about me (Brady topic) and you have consistently done this in the past (while asking you to stop).  Not accusations, just facts.  Ah well, I believe we can agree to disagree and focus the discussions here about pre game discussions.  90% of our interactions are great, I think we can change the channel here please.

I did not say you took personal shot (this time). I simply called you out on saying non factual things about me and my position.  Zero value and merit in you doing so now, in the past or future.
