Quote from: Blueforlife on Today at 03:10:07 PMTechno can you do a measurement for us on Zachs deep balls yesterday?

Slinging nasty on a dime most of the night

I had the one Singer throw at 50 plus.  Missed that live, was getting a napkin lol, poor time management lol

I haven't seen him sling like that for a long time, I was paranoid some throws were risky but I was simply worried from past games and was wrong every time!
Gut feels reagrevated something, just guessing.  I started an injury thread.
I may be wrong but to me Zach was putting more arc on the ball and dropping it onto an area where recievers could go after it.
The other factor is him calling the plays more at the line of scrimmage vs Condell. He seemed to have s lot more confidence.
Whatever it was, he picked a good time , he also showed more mobility

It was all types of balls imo

100% arc drop in the basket on a dime

A few sans arc

A few classic Zach soft touch

His mobility went back 5 year lol

Yes he called so many auditbles

I very interesting take thanks

Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 03:09:09 PMA few observations in no particular order:

1. Having Smith back was great but now we have an injury issue which may serious.
2. Not having Ayers available hurt our ST's. He is a very good ST player.
3. Soft coverage again means 2nd and long is practically a gimmee.
4. Kelly is still a liability. He may be getting better but he's not there yet.

Lastly but not insignificantly:

5. Singer was outstanding. Why we choose a 3 Canadian receiver plan from day one is baffling.
6. Vaval may have won that game with his play. 13 seconds into the 2nd half. WOW. I'm concerned he may an NFL look again.

Well well nice to see this turnaround

Ayers is worth a roster spot due to his demon ability on teams

Some great other points

Vaval could get a sniff, if Singer too small for NFL? Lock both up forever, blank cheque time

TBURGESS

Collaros put the bomb back in Bombers.

Vaval's return TD turned the tide and likely won the game.

That missed FG hurt Calgary over and over. Make it and they don't go for 2 twice giving them 5 extra points.

The receiver and DB get their feet tangled; no call. Davey throws the flag; the replay shows an unintentional PI, still no call.

Calling Techno, on one TD announcer, says that's on the Bombers before the ball is thrown, no flag, TD stands. They don't show what they were talking about, but it looked like Calgary wanted a procedure call.

Why the h e double hockey sticks did Singer sit on the PR for most of the season? Without him, we lose.

Calgary's DB's showed why the old adage 'He plays DB cuz he can't catch' more than once.

Now we have at least 1 more meaningful game left.

Did anyone take a picture of the 55 yard line? I would have.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

Starting in 2026, the ball comes out to the 40 yard line when a missed FG attempt hits the upright. Kramdi was penalized with a 10 yard misconduct which should have put the ball on the 30 yard line. Why did Winnipeg scrimmage from the 20? I think someone screwed up!

There are two parts to an accidental trip and DPI. Holm came from a deep position and crossed paths with the receiver so it falls under (iv) because they had equal position. If Holm had been in a chase position then (v) applies.

(iv) Inadvertent tripping by a player with equal position shall not be ruled as interference.
(v) Tripping an opponent from behind shall be considered accidental pass interference.

Bryant moved early and the Calgary DE stopped thinking the play would be whistled dead. It should have been a penalty.

Jaylen Smith's hit on Deonta McMahon was the turning point. Boys got fired up after that!

Quote from: barbk on Today at 02:41:25 PMNot renewing my season tickets due to not liking the changes to our CFL game!!!

Well, there's still time for Johnston to keep the 55. The heat has got to be on him and the team owners. They see the renewal rates... Probably down everywhere except edm.

If they are losing fans like barbk and Goldie, then they should be giving their heads a check.

Luckily I'm sure the st's will be waiting for you when Johnston relents.
Never go full Johnston!
