The problem is it's difficult to find a Natl. ST player halfway through the season, unless you want them to re-sign Josh Haggerty.

Normally we have that Canadian player on the PR. This year we've had several players end up on our 6 or 1 game IR. Even for this game, would Hansen have been on the roster if we were able to activate Smith? In theory we could have but then another Canadian would need to be removed. Stuart and Novak would have been the most recent add for ST work.

Both of them recorded 1 ST in this game. It would take an extensive review to determine the work and value of those 2 players.  Hansen's fumble recovery is very easy to evaluate as significant. No dispute there.  It would take a significant effort to evaluate Hansen's work as well. Stats versus productivity are different areas to evaluate.  I mentioned before that he was blocking on the Vaval TD recently. That can't be over looked as a significant result.

Clearly many Canadians on our PR are ST player specialists. Gatkouth was a 1st year rotational players and on IR. Smith is the other one that comes to mind. Ball and Clark as ST players would have been choices if not on 6 game IR.

I'd say similar examples would be found for most teams. We haven't often gone to that 2nd global player unless we've had injuries.

I don't know which Canadian player might be available next week. Hansen may play or he may get bumped by a recent draft choice.

Fritz played for the Bombers from 1935-46. Pretty sure most  people on the board have never seen him play.
