Please never mention Perkin's Super Bowl ring again. That was for 2020 and he didn't play a down until 2022 when he played in his only 2 NFL games. Decidedly mediocre stats there.

His whole rep is the USFL championship. Kudos to him for that but that league is a cut below the CFL.

Not trying to criticize the guy, he may be able to play here but lets not find out this Saturday.

Throw Long Bannatyne

Quote from: theaardvark on October 07, 2026, 07:39:26 PMI'd take those odds.

He is NOT a raw rookie.  He is 29.  He was with the SB champ Rams (has a ring). He was UFL MVP last year.

If Dru doesn't come to Winnipet, Perkins is starting today.

Dru hasn't been stellar, he has literally played us out of the playoffs.

Lets go with our FIRST choice for the job.

You forget Elgersma was #2 coming out of TC until Brown came to town, he took over from Zach in week 5 and beat the Ti-Cats 14-13 in a real nailbiter.

Zach was limited in practice today. So, at the very least he will be coming off the 6 game injury list this week.

The biggest mistake this team made was trading for Dru Brown.  Eventually Neufeld needs replacing and who knows Wallace Eventually leaves, but giving a first is just not productive.

Call me surprised this is happening.

Oliveria another week of DNP. Where have I seen that before?

Gatkouth, Ayers and Smith as DNP

Haven and Moxey at Full

So in theory Collaros, Hazen and Moxey could be available.

It doesn't seem that Smith will dress this week so it's curious why he's on reserve and not 6 game IR.

Can't see Hazen making the roster again with Hansen on ST's, not sure what the plans are for him but there are a few too many LB's lined up in front of him.

Hansen replaces a Canadian on the roster but subs for an import in substitutions ( maybe ). It depends on how many Canadians we are starting.

Hazen would have to directly replace an import to get on the AR. If he was a DI his role would be different than if he was just an extra import due to starting more Canadians.

His actual role on an ST or even SY wouldn't be directly the same as Hansen necessarily. Small sample.

I'm expecting Hazen and Moxey to serve out the balance of the 6 game IR. OTOH I though Collaros would as well.

Whether Collaros plays at all this season, now that he's practising we've given up any SMS savings opportunity. If he stayed on the 6 game IR that would nearly a 1/3 of his SMS ( about $300K post bonus ) = about $80K

Help us Obi-wan, you're our only hope.

One last time, one last time, throw only dimes, throw only dimes, don't hear the chimes LOL

Being serious I worry about his health, hopefully he is well enough to take a few licks.

Zach appears to be in the right head space.  I think as long as the OL can protect and Brady can cook we have a chance here.

He didn't like the question about people worrying about his health or the process to get cleared.  I get the media trying but I think they pushed a little too hard.

It will be a sad day when 1. He is no longer a Bomber and 2. When he retires.  Not quiet a generational talent but his leadership, ability to extend plays (earlier in his career), deep ball (few years ago) and touch (still has it) is pretty elite.  He will be missed when he is gone.

He says he wants to keep playing.
