Right now would be a perfect time to start a new winning streak with the regular season rapidly winding down.

There is little love lost between the Bombers and the Alouettes and according to Tony Jones, trash talking backed up with solid performance is one of the keys.  Davis Alexander, who arguable is one of the best and he classifies Jones ranks near the top of the list in the trash talking department.

With 3 of the 4 remaining games being away games against good opponents, every game becomes crucial.

Injured players update includes...

Questionable
- Demski, Oliviera, Ceresna, Schmekel, Gatkuoth, Fetcher, J. Smith
Available - O. Wilson, Broxton, Griffin
Out - Jaworski

A 4 game win streak would cement the playoffs for the Bombers.  Let's start on Saturday!

It's been Dru all week, Zach remains on the 6 game.

Where is the depth chart? I did see the " starters " listed on Facebook. Wilson and Griffin are back. Ceresna is listed so that's good news. The question really falls into all the depth players that were questionable this week. Even if some play how effective will they be. That includes many actual starters that are nursing problems.

Ed Tait:

The @Wpg_BlueBombers welcome back WR Pokey Wilson and DB Michael Griffin II, but DB/LB Jaylen Smith has been moved to the one-game reserve list -- we'll find out more on that later when the team lands in Mtl. DB Ethan Stuart and DE Thiadric Hansen also aboard, with WRs Gavin Cobb and Kenneth Womack and DE Matt Jaworski out

On paper, it's the best offensive personnel of the year. Too bad it's gotta go up against an angry Als team in Montreal.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers welcome back two starters against Alouettes
by John Hodge  October 2, 2026

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will have Ontaria Wilson and Michael Griffin II back in the starting lineup when they visit the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday. The team released its official depth chart on Friday morning.

Wilson missed the team's last two games due to a hand injury. He has caught 56 passes for 739 yards and five touchdowns over 12 regular-season games this year, ranking third on the team behind Tim White and Nic Demski.

The 27-year-old native of Ashburn, Ga. has made 148 receptions for 2,147 yards and 11 touchdowns over 36 career regular-season CFL games with the Blue Bombers.

In a corresponding move, Kenneth Womack has been demoted to the practice roster. The rookie played Winnipeg's last two games but did not register a statistic.

Griffin II was the team's day-one starter at strong-side linebacker but missed the last six games due to an ankle injury. The six-foot, 231-pound defender has tallied 35 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, and one forced fumble this year.

The 28-year-old is in his fourth CFL season. Over 49 career regular-season games with the Blue Bombers and Calgary Stampeders, he has tallied 135 defensive tackles, 31 special teams tackles, one tackle for loss, four pass knockdowns, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown.

Canadian defender Jaylen Smith, who started in Griffin II's place, has been moved to the reserve roster. The Hamilton, Ont. native was listed as questionable for Saturday's game due to a hip injury after being a non-participant in practice on Thursday.

The Blue Bombers have also added Global defensive lineman Thiadric Hansen and Canadian defensive back Ethan Stuart to the roster in depth roles.

Hansen recently rejoined the team's practice roster as a free agent. The native of Flensburg, Germany was originally the second overall pick in the 2019 CFL Global Draft.

Over 69 career regular-season CFL games, the 33-year-old has recorded 22 defensive tackles, 40 special teams tackles, five sacks, and three forced fumbles with the Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts, winning three Grey Cups.

Stuart was a fourth-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. The 24-year-old native of Oakville, Ont. has made two special teams tackles over six regular-season games this year.

In corresponding moves, Canadian receiver Gavin Cobb and American defensive lineman Matt Jaworski have come off the roster and been placed on the six-game injured list. Cobb did not appear on Winnipeg's injury report this week, while Jaworski was unable to practice due to an elbow injury.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7-7) will visit the Montreal Alouettes (11-3) on Saturday, October 3 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Blue Bombers are coming off a tight loss to the Argonauts, while the Alouettes were on bye.

The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS2 in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on 680 CJOB in Winnipeg or TSN 690 (English) or 99.5 Montreal (French) in Montreal.

Agree. Only 7 Canadian starters, 3 import receivers, as many Dlineman as linebackers...has someone kidnapped Mike O'Shea?

Pigskin

8 DBs, 8 LBs, 8 DTs, nice balance. Smith out is going to hurt. Stuart getting a few more reps will be interesting to see what he can do. Hansen could add a little to our pass rush. Will be nice to have him on teams.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

blue_or_die

Let's see what Dru can do with Pokey AND Singer AND Demski on at the same time. Nield has been relegated to 5th option and at this point I'm fine with giving Clerc more of the reps.

Hopefully the Oline can give Dru some time. With a good set of weapons and if protection is good, it will be revealing what kind of QB Dru can be.

On D I think it'll come down to the DL and if we can get in Alexander's face. I think we win the game if we force him into one of his famous temper tantrums.

From then on, it'll be about NOT handing them the game like we did to Toronto.
#Ride?

Can Griffin make an impact after being out so long?

Can Vaval and Texada rotate and be effective?

Can the new faces on DL make an impact?

Will Ceresna look ok as he is nursing something?

Will Wilson look good after a little time out?

And the big one, can Brady and the OL cook enough to keep Brown from getting over heated in the kitchen? Lol

Good questions so we'll see how the changes work out. It may come down to the health of many starters that missed most or all of practice.

In particular Demski and Oliveria.
