Great news. Doesn't hurt to see if they can make it happen. I'd love to go to QC, haven't been for like 35 years. This would be a great excuse.

Guess we'll have to start worrying about losing our near-stars soon, just like when the redblacks materialized.

Would be nice as when I retire would like to see all the stadiums and this one would be on the bucket list and you are right, its lovely there

That's all fine and dandy, but there is one little hitch in the plan.  Funding for a new 25,000 seat stadium.  Where is that going to come from?

Building something like Hamilton's fairly basic stadium which started construction in 2012 ($145 million cost) would be at least $250 million today and likely closer to $300 million given the exponential rise in construction costs.
