Maybe it is time to put Zach on the 6 game injury list - then when the season wraps thank him for his years of dedication and tell him it is time for him to retire for his own good.

I think this is the end for Collaros. Even if he can return before the end of the season IMO he should be moved to # 2 QB at best.

Not playing this week is a vague bit of information as to whether they even expect he can / should return at some point.

Take the SMS savings, try and get some live reps for Elgersma and move on.

Zach has a degenerative issue and can't take the least hit behind an OL that can't protect well.

Griffin not coming back this week but this was only week 5 of his 6 game IR so that was expected.

Dixon listed as available and he just completed his 6 game IR stint. So he might move to AR bumping someone.

If he was as good as Collaros, he would be the starter. It's that simple. He hasn't shown yet that he is, so he's not.

We've said this over and over this year, but it is seemingly not in Zach's best interest to be playing football at this point. The most innocuous hits take him out for weeks and it just feels irresponsible of the franchise to keep trotting him out there.

That said, I completely expect to see him back as soon as he's "cleared".

Would you guys forget Elgersma right now, I just don't get the love affair with this guy,  if anyone is getting reps, its Brown...we need to win games to get into the playoffs, with Brown we have a shot, with Elgersma, not a hope in hell. enough already.

I have no particular interest in Elgersma beyond evaluating him if we have an opportunity. Our season is hanging by a thread. If we end up eliminated then put him into a game.

For that matter I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Perkins get a few reps if a game situation allows.

Our chances to hang onto a playoff spot starts tomorrow. Winning and hopefully the Stamps lose would help. We have the more difficult schedule.
