Brady has silenced the critics with his play as of late.

Already broke the record for 5x1000 and now is chasing an all time CFL legend with 6x1000.

He is worth every penny and won't be coming out of the lineup nor will he be spelled off lol.

Brady has the record for a Canadian with the most consecutive seasons 1000 rushing seasons.

Charlie had 6 1000 yard seasons but they werent consecutive.

Players ahead of Brady for most consecutive 1000 yards seasons:

Kelvin Anderson: 8 consecutive seasons (1996–2003)

Joffrey Reynolds: 6 consecutive seasons (2005–2010)

The next notable milestone for Brady is he needs less than 300 yards rushing to pass Jon Cornish to become the 3rd all-time Canadian rusher.

Cornish's 6,844 yards has him currently ranked 16th for all-time rushing yards.

That said, next seeason Brady can TIE (not break) Charlie's Bomber record of 6 consecutive 1000 rushing seasons.

He's not worth $300K when it impacts what we can spend elsewhere on the roster. Our roster is out of balance the last couple of seasons.

The goal of any team is to win the Grey Cup which we did not do in 2022-2025. We aren't a good bet to do so in 2026.

So while it's a great achievement for him, it's not working out for the team per se.

It's not all his fault but we're paying too much for several veterans and we're not spending wisely.

You may have said the same thing about A.  Harris and didn't want to see Oliveria getting reps in the early days.  There is always an SMS limit and succession in football.

I'm less concerned about the 50,000 overpay on Brady, and more concerned about the fact we are top of the league in terms of what we are paying at the QB position, but 7th in terms of the quality of play we are getting there. That will be what dooms us this year if we fail to make the playoffs or are an early out.

The Bombers probably make some decisions based on things larger than winning the championship.

Brady's position as a very important role model for certain groups of kids in Manitoba for example.
