1. Kelly
2. Nichols
3. Vaval
4. Wilson

Thoughts

Since the ssk game is short-mostly, who the db is that's targeted doesn't really matter. It's more throw to who found the best zone hole.

But for deeper shots I expect they target the youngest guys most to test them. Texada, vaval, major, Kelly. On paper it sounds good to target an underperforming Nichols, but the savvy vet Trevor will know he might surprise you.

Our key will be don't leave Kelly isolated, he should always be with help.

Pressure Harris like we did against Alexander and he'll have a tough night.

It's tougher, as Davis likes to sling it, so we knew we had some pass rush time.

Trevor will get 75% of passes out in less than 2.5s. That spells more lane blocking and dropping back, and less qb harassment.

Hope the boys got a good night's sleep, but I doubt it!
Game Day!

Forecast continually got worse.  It's now 90% rain the entire game time, and also before and after.  Risk of thunderstorms.  We could possibly see delays or interruptions if that happens.

Ticket prices are falling on the aftermarket, if someone still wanted to go last minute.  Though the best deals seem to be getting snapped up, so there's still decent interest, even in the rain.  Good for SSK!

Ground game could be even more important today.  I like the idea of have all 3 of our RBs dressed.  If Brady needs a spell, put one of the other guys in for a change-up.

Guys gotta make sure they don't fall for SSK's max-cheat on tricking you off-side (twitches, max head bopping, sudden movements, etc), and don't fall for the garbage they pull to get you to do a UR retaliation.

I really hope the coaches showed them the previous SSK games so they can see and be ready for this nonsense.  Mace will pull out all the stops to win this game.  We will also see 1-2 trick plays.

I really hope we get McInnes as the ref: he was super strict on SSK's max-hold garbage last week.  It won't be Proulx: he had Friday's game.  Please please let it NOT be "First Down" Limp-Chain Valesi.

I see both teams feeling things out slowly to start, especially if things are wet. This game could be a ground and short game slogfest.

It will probably come down to who doesn't turn the ball over. That means both O's will be ultra cautious.

Tait pointed out ssk is dressing 9 DL. looks like they were eyeing the forecast, as well as the film. If every snap is a loaded box, we'll have to find creative ways to run. There won't be very many deep shots today. Singer might get lots of looks in the slot.

Not jinxing

I don't think Holm has missed a game since becoming a starter.

A Scandinavian iron man.

I think Zach finally realized the deep shots don't work reliably anymore especially without Demski, and 2 and outs kill all momentum and tire out the defence. Hopefully he's accepts the game manager role over that of the gunslinger and sticks with the plan.

With 9 D-linemen it sure looks like the Riders plan is to knock Zach out of the game and cruise to victory, it's up to Zach to get rid of the ball quickly and Daniels, Brady and the inside SB's to help the O-line with blocking when overloaded.

Maybe the Bombers turn the tables and rattle Harris's cage early but I wish they wouldn't rely so much on Tony Jones to rush the QB, he's their best LB, someone like Ayers or Woodbey could be used in that capacity while Jones plays a more traditional stay at home LB role. As long as they employ the strategy they used against Rankin and Theis the defence shouldn't have too much difficulty containing the Rider running attack which is diminished without Thor.

Game will be won or lost in the trenches. Thats how we beat Montreal.

Sask has a good O-line, particulary for pass protection. Less so for the run, and they're missing AJO.

If our O-line can win the battle like we did against Montreal, and establish a running game, I like our chances. If not, it could be a long night. I'm assuming both teams will lean on the run due to rain, although in the video TLB posted about QB play in the CFL, one of the QBs actually said rain was not a huge deal with the passing game, it was wind that was the big problem.
