Quavian White returns for Hamilton Tiger-Cats against Roughriders
by 3Down Staff  August 14, 2026

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will have defensive back Quavian White back in the starting lineup when they host the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday evening. The team issued its official depth chart on Friday.

The 26-year-old native of Greer, S.C. has made five starts at field-side halfback this season, recording 20 defensive tackles and one sack. He missed Hamilton's last three games due to a hamstring injury.

The five-foot-nine, 187-pound defender was a collegiate standout at Georgia State University, where he earned three All-Sun Belt selections. He spent the 2023 season with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Tiger-Cats late the following year.

Devodric Bynum, who started in White's place the past three games, has been moved to the reserve roster. The former member of the Edmonton Elks has made 17 defensive tackles and one interception over six regular-season games with Hamilton this year.

The Tiger-Cats have made one other roster change this week, as Canadian defensive lineman Charbel Dabire has been placed on the one-game injured list.

The six-foot, 300-pound defender has tallied three defensive tackles over five regular-season games this year. He is dealing with an arm injury.

In a corresponding move, Hamilton has promoted Canadian defensive lineman Aamarii Notice from the practice roster.

The Toronto native was the team's seventh-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft. He has made four defensive tackles over three regular-season games so far this year.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-6) will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-2) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, August 15 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Roughriders easily beat the Ottawa Redblacks last week, while the Tiger-Cats suffered a narrow loss to the B.C. Lions.

The weather forecast in Hamilton calls for 24 degrees and sun. The game will be broadcast on TSN in Canada, CBS Sports Network in the United States, and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on 620 CKRM in Regina or the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.

Star Thomas to debut at running back for Saskatchewan Roughriders in Week 11
by 3Down Staff  August 14, 2026

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have a new face in the backfield for their Week 11 matchup with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Star Thomas is slated to make his CFL debut on Saturday as the team's starting running back. The six-foot, 210-pound ball-carrier was signed by the Riders on June 24 and has remained on the practice roster to date.

Thomas played his final collegiate season at the University of Tennessee in 2025, where he rushed 104 times for 596 yards with seven touchdowns, and caught 11 passes for 116 yards and two scores. He previously suited up for Duke University, New Mexico State University, and Coffeyville Community College.

The 24-year-old will step into the lineup after Quali Conley aggravated a nagging hamstring injury and was placed on the one-game injured list. In four games this season, the rookie back has carried 40 times for 191 yards and a touchdown, while catching seven passes for 60 yards.

Conley was playing in place of veteran A.J. Ouellette, who is currently on the six-game injured list.

The remainder of Saskatchewan's starting lineup will stay intact from last week. The only other change will see backup Canadian offensive lineman Jez Janvier return to the practice roster, with newly signed Canadian receiver Vyshonne Janusas drawing into the lineup.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-2) will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-6) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, August 15, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Radio listeners can tune in on 620 CKRM in Regina or the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.

I don't mean to be snarfy, but what good are these posts?

If you want them to be useful, just post the depth charts themselves.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

Because it bumps the topic.

The thread was started a few days prior.

Frost looks ok, but I get the feeling Sask. is toying with the Ti-Cats trying to make the game look close.

Wheatfall just made the catch of the week, Lawler like even.

Good thing we let him go, he has the catch of the year and Wilson drops a sure thing. Pretty much sums up 2026 for us.

We let Wheatfall go to sign White who has more yards and TDs in fewer games.

AND it let's us know to scroll up and look at the edited posts.  Otherwise the "NEW" button won't "see" them.

I love all the effort gbg puts into these things (and videos thread).  Although, if I'm greedy, I would make 1 extra request: post the bottom parts of the charts too, or just list/summarize (in text form) the in/out bit.  in/out is the most (only?) important part of the charts if you follow every team week to week.
