Griffin injury?

I've read that he was injured in the game against the Lions.

On local news highlights of the game I saw him chasing Horvat at 2:47 of Q4. I deleted the entire game from PVR right after the game so have no other info to check.

So did he get hurt in the last 3 minutes and does anyone have a video of that injury. Or any perception of what type of injury he experienced.

I'm hoping it was nothing serious and he was just removed from the last couple of minutes as precautionary. The game was lost at that point anyway.

We won't see anything official until after the 1st practice.

Hobbled off the field, so who knows how serious it was, 2 weeks off may be the cure. Expected to see him on the 6 game immediately but can't even find an updated list.

I guess that means Woodbey starting at SAM with Smith rotating in. We have an opening for another import. Will it be Jackson, Hazon or Jenkins? All have been on the AR briefly but Jackson seemed to have the best game of the 3.

Woodbey is the heaviest of our import LB's. In theory he could be a candidate at MLB as well although that would mean Smith starts at SAM.  Woodbey is quick and seems to cover well.

I still have the game. I hadn't noticed at pas, but it's pretty obvious on the broadcast.

2 things of note:

He needed help off the field, that's not good

Ankle, yah, or knee. It may have been a non contact. That wouldn't be good.

He's graded out well, but not without a couple of costly mistakes.

It's left knee.  4Q2:14.  He's getting a stiff-arm pull to the ground that probably puts extra weight on the knee he's currently on.  The knee then does a weird bend and his stride goes wonky.  When his right leg hits his left leg bows outwards on its way back; looks strange.  The his left leg comes down again in a slightly hyper-extended manner and he crumples.  He's holding his left knee the whole time when he's falling, and laying there.  He's putting almost no weight on the left leg when being helped off.

So it was contact, but not any blow to the knee, just extra weight and weird angles on the knee.  Maybe others can speculate what this means.  It's not the standard ACL look we see.  Clearly something inside went wonky though.  I guess the "lucky" thing would be a small strain.  But even that can take weeks.

Well that sucks.  Woodbey might be thought of as the next man up, but he's usually over at WILL?  Or have we been giving him looks at SAM.  Kramdi back to SAM is also an option, if he has that arm heal up.  In fact, if Kramdi to SAM, Allen to FS would almost be ideal at this point.

The depth chart shows Woodbey at SAM but that doesn't mean much. We don't know if or when Kramdi could return but sure he might be a possibility. Allen was extended on the 6 game IR and hasn't practised yet. He may miss the season.

Smith is also shown at WIL for what that's worth.

I don't want to be overly negative but we're rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic due to a large number of injuries.

Griffin's injury doesn't sound like one where we'll expect a quick recovery.
