Dru Brown -  20+ Yd Depth Pass Attempts:
Att Com Pct   Int TD Yds

He's had more picks than completions throwing deep.

Hope that answers your question.

Ok, but how much of that is predictable scheme, and Dru staring down the play / telegraphing, and underthrowing?  Doesn't mean we still can't attack over top somehow.

And if it's truly hopeless, why did we tinkle away 2 1RDPs?

Well this game went about as expected.  Though Rourke was really rusty and stinky -- like worse than Dru levels of bad.  Luckily Frost was worse.

I think it doubles our embarrassment from last week as this really isn't a good BC team.

Look at how HAM contained Horvath!  And man, look at that HAM DL shedding blocks to make RB tackles at LoS!  Why can't anyone (even Ceresna) do that on our team?  Argh!  And when the DL whiffs McManis would destroy anyone within 25Y.  Why don't our LBers do that rather than run up to the holes to be held by OL??

Is it paper bag time yet?

I don't think we trade 2 1RDPs for Brownie.

We received Brownie and Ottawa's 2RDP for 2027.

Ottawa received our 1RDP in 2027 and our 2RDP in 2028. Ottawa also has our 2RDP in in 2027 due to a trade this past April. So, in 2027 we will probably pick 10th, and then not again till the middle of the 3rd. round.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Rourke wasn't as bad as the stats make it look. He had 5 drops in the first half and another 2 or 3 in the second, one of which cost him a pick.

Weird... what was reported here originally, and discussed to death, was that OTT gets our '27 and '28 1RDP ('28 being conditional).  But going back to the source material it appears you are correct.  It's a 2RDP in '28.  Not sure how this was gotten so wrong on the forum.  >:(

'28 being 2R is MUCH less bad than a 1RDP.  That eases the sting a little bit, that's for sure.

As for the conditional part, no one knows the conditions.  We may have already met those conditions by having Dru start 3 games in '26.  Or maybe it's something like we must re-sign him in '27 (which I probably will hope we DON'T do).

Thanks for the clarification.

Ya, but when it's 2-3 RECs "dropping", not just 1, then sometimes (not always) you still have to look at the QB.  It might mean Rourke isn't placing the ball correctly, or putting way too much heat for the class of REC, or otherwise lacking "touch".

McInnis is prone to dropsies, but that doesn't explain Hatcher and Jermaine and maybe that Poissant kid's whoopsies.  Like a few other QBs this week, Rourke was chucking a lot of them too high.

Why wouldn't HAM take 1 more shot with 6s left?  The whole world knows Leggs blows a 57 yarder.  A quick hitter pass gets them to maybe a 52Y FG, which is more like something Leggs can actually do.  It's simple math.  10% chance of 57, or 50% chance of a quick hitter + 50% chance of 52Y FG = 25%.  I'd go with the quick hitter.

Every team should have a couple of 3-5s short passes in their quiver!

Like the Killam mistake into halftime in the other game, I wonder what these HC's are thinking.
