In his post game comments O'shea mentioned how Elgersma receives very few reps during the week so it's difficult to have him prepared and ready to go.  This is a league wide problem that needs to be addressed as starting QB's are dropping like flies and with it the quality of the football matches.

Is it a matter of being short staffed that they can't dedicate the time or attention to incubating young QB's or are they being constrained by the PA in the time they can work with these players?  I thought that was what a QB coach was hired to do, someone needs to design a football simulator that eliminates the manpower needed to recreate a realistic model of the CFL game. It works in multiple other sports.

At the end of the day, you give your starter the vast majority of the reps. And why would anyone do it any differently?

So if you know the Qb you're putting in is under prepared/hasn't had the reps, why not put in the mobile Qb that can run like the BC Qb, and at least you are able to move the ball??? Everyone and their brother knew the BC Qb was a runner and was going to run, and did so anyways and was successful. Why didn't we try that?? Why did we throw our Qb to the wolves, he lost yards, lost the handle on the football/fumbled and was a comedy of errors, it was embarassing.

The Elgersma game plan against Hamilton was ugly but it worked, I don't know if that's what they were trying to do or not, as it only matched the ugly part.
