Quote from: dd on July 28, 2026, 05:16:52 PMEach and evert person on the TSN broadcasts has their own personality, some like them, some don't, but overall, they bring a very authentic, very unpolished actually, and non-robotic broadcast, unlike the NFL, where every announcer sounds the same. TSN has brought on some new blood recently ie Dustin, Marshall, Luke and its their sincerity and uniqueness that I actually like, it sounds very 'Canadian' to me, even Mr. Suitor, and Mr. Monotone Ford.

Agree, I don't hate any of them including Suitor or Rod Black, Wilson is knowledgeable but chatters way too much, I prefer Duane Forde's economy of words and long pauses.

TBURGESS

I don't mind Wilson, but he's gotta stop saying 'we' every time. He ain't playin anymore... there no 'we' in announcing.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

Wilson seems to love the sound of his own voice. He's pretty insufferable even with his football knowledge.
"I know why you seek solitude."

Is this the bad place?

I think our O is worse. The D is a wash, better dl but worse DBs. I do have hope the db play will improve with time. The d might be quite good by end of season.
Never go full Johnston!

Our OLine is always bad at the beginning of the season and comes around in the fall.

TBH, we need to regulate Bryant to back-up.

The writing is on the wall in terms of Bryant playing, he clearly is a shadow of his former self. I just hope he hangs em up this year as I don't think MOS has the nads to sit him.

Big Daddy

Quote from: bunker on July 28, 2026, 04:33:15 PMI'm not on twitter so I guess I missed that. I guess he has another side to him, depending on his platform.

And to be fair I haven't seen him much this year on tv.  My pvr doesn't seem to record this year (thanks MTS - I will likely have to switch back to Shaw soon with all these glitches) and I've been away for 2 wks.  But on Twitter he's an A$$.  Calling Bob "Mr. poppycock" and harping one any little point he can.

He's really an elementary school child on Twitter.  I'll give him a chance on tv when I see him this year, but on Twitter and prior to this year I can't stand him.  Such arrogance and, at least earlier, disdain for the cfl game.

That was my impression of him before he started doing the commentary. He's toned it down quite a bit. But its possible twitter represents his true personality and he's on his best behaviour on TV to keep the job.

Also, bit of a random comment: I had to leave early from the last game because it got too loud for my daughter, so we were walking away from the stadium early in the second quarter.

The amount of 20-something's that were just walking up was pretty unbelievable. Huge crowds of groups walking up to the stadium, more still coming from the parking lots. They truly did not care about the game at all - it's just the plans for the evening and they were showing up fashionably late like it was a party.

Hilarious. Other teams need to get into this market somehow.
My wife is amazing!

Not sure on her age, but I can strongly recommend baby bans brand hearing protection for under 10s. Even having them just as backup can make unsure kids feel better.

Maybe these kids know if they show up after the first quarter they can get in for free as long as they drink like fish.  I've worked the gate at a hockey venue and they had a similar lax attitude to late comers.

The BB needs a serious overhaul in offence and defence...
