WINNIPEG, MB., July 22, 2026 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the following transactions.

Released from practice roster:
Offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua
American receiver Christian Frederickson
American defensive back Kaylin Moore
"You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one." - John Wooden

Guess we've got some guys coming back healthy. Interesting on the OL they must like Poncius a bit.

Was hoping there would more opportunity to chant Mazooka (pronunciation of Mazzccua's name according to Tait). Oh well...

Blueforlife

can't keep em all, lost a couple decent ones there, wonder if anyone gets a sniff elsewhere or maybe by us later

Anyone got the scoop on Moore?

Not sure why we're keeping Womack over Frederickson...
I was pretty disappointed in Womack during preseason.

Probably a much better athlete than Frederickson who's best attribute was grit, Womack still behind Singer.

Maybe Mazz has some interest from other camps, with Oline going down.  Or he wasn't impressive enough in his one start here to keep investing in him oer the other options...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

It was pretty clear there were going to be some movement with players returning from the IR. We'll see how this shakes out tomorrow I guess. I've mentioned some changes I thought were coming but it's only speculation until we see it happen.

The outright releases were a bit of a surprise but you can never tell what players on the PR are showing in practice.

And I suspect sometimes a PR release isn't always the "least good" player. There's considerations on position balance, ratio and whether the player even wants to stay there. Sometimes the closer a player is to the active roster the more likely they may have other options.

I'd like to see Clercius back on the AR. Cobb has done fine, and Corcoron has done well blocking, but Clercius can actually make some tough catches and he's a big target.
If Dixon gets back on the roster, who comes off? Reese, Jenkyns, Fletcher?

Hopefully not Fletcher.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

I thought both Fletcher and Reese were worth keeping on the roster.

None of these transactions have been officially registered with the CFL yet, so why do they announce them?

Dixon has started practising at " full " and is eligible to come off after this weeks' game. If he's added back to the AR it would likely be Jenkins that is taken off. to accomplish that.
