The eastern conference is a mess. Montreal is way better than the other three teams. Argos have no defense, Hamilton have no offense and Ottawa is just a dumpster fire. You look at the west and the only team without much hope right now is BC after losing Rourke. Calgary at 2-4 is still a decent football team and their record has more to do with a tough schedule than a bad team. Winnipeg remains a solid team and the best is yet to come. Edmonton right now look like thebest team in the west. Saskatchewan is still strong even though they have been a little fortunate to have the record they do.

still lots of football to be played but toronto will likely get a home playoff game which will be unfair cause a team in the west with a better record will be on the road.

montreal is the class of the cfl right now but DA's hammy is a risk.

At least Hamilton has a pretty good defense and they are going to need it with that offense. No running game other than their QB. Their passing game scares noone.

Crazy how fast things changed

QBs were just slinging and now dropping like flies

The teams will healthy QBs and depth in that position will be in a better position.

The silver lining is that the gets to test our or develop some new faces

And after that last game, they probably have like 5 guys headed to the IR. I've never seen so many players go down so much in one game.

OTT reminds me of EDM the last couple of years, especially once Rankin got going. They are actually ok, they just find ways to lose. They often hang in there and then one mistake snowballs.

They totally should have won against us. They may be trying to emulate ssks dink and dunk. If Dinwiddie can use it to beat us in a cup with a crap qb, then he can figure it out in OTT. But a better qb would sure help...

And I think TOR will figure it out and get way better. They have so many weapons on O. And one of the best qbs.

I think their geriatric hc and dc(?) may not be the best fit though. They may be holding the team back.

If Alexander's hammy won't hold up, and I give that a high probability, it could easily be TOR in the cup again. And at all know that when tor is in the cup, they invariably win.

Going to push back on this one. Good teams find ways to win which means limiting mistakes and executing when it matters (in clutch time). Poor and mediocre teams may look good on paper, maybe even have flashes of greatness, but are inconsistent and don't execute in key moments; in any game there are often lots of key moments. A good team executes consistently, limits its mistakes, and makes the occasional great play.

Ottawa this year... doesn't.

But that fits EDM in, say 2024, to a tee. So close for a while in like 30% of their games, then the just find a way to lose in the 4th. The reason I use EDM as an example is look how they've turned their team around now. That could be OTT next season. In fact, with Dinwiddie running the show I kind of expect it -- just like he did to TOR when he first arrived there and THEY were the worst in the league.
