We need some consistency in officiating, the Toronto receiver gets a 25 ya and DQ in our game for a feeble head slap on the helmet that was hardly detectable, yet awe can come in later on a sliding Qb, head shot , put his arms up like he didn't mean it and he only gets 15????Give me a break, the calls should have been reversed , it should have been a minor misconduct for the head slap and 25 on the late hit on a sliding Qb. The league has got to eliminate that hit out of the game, it should be automatic DQ. As for jumbo coming in to defend his Qb, I'd love to see him come in a full throttle and paste him, if you're going to get a 15 ya penalty, get a good one.

It worked out for the Als but was a low % play to Philpot.
Zach did the same think against the Elks twice in one game.   On second and medium he threw bombs rather than manage to just get the first down on a short quick hitter which has a better chance of success than a bomb.  Not sure it was the play Cordell drew up or a Zach audible but it happened twice.

Contrarian view point, Adams slides late, Awe turns to avoid helmet to helmet. I truly believe Awe thought he held up. He could have nailed him worse. He was somewhat pushed into Adams by the other defender.  But I still do believe it was a penalty with no place in the game.

that was my take as well....whether intentional or not it's still a penalty and VAJ could have been seriously hurt.

Reminded me a bit of Simoni's head shot on Collaros in 2019 when he was still a Rider.  That one play created a beautiful butterfly effect.

Those were 2 different penalties however.

You could make an arrangement about how the rules are writen in the rulebook. But, the disqualification was warranted as per the rules. It doesnt matter how hard the slap was it is still a DQ.

Also if Awe had him harder it probably would have been a 25 yard penalty.
