I suppose but Holm seemed a less likely error to Williams as far as number of letters in the name. That said, I don't know how he came up with Marshall in any practical sense.

Where do you get that? If I had to guess I'd say he was dinged late game 1 or early game 2.that would explain the massive drop off in effectiveness.

Not saying you're wrong, but sounds like you got a scoop somewhere.

It was reported during TC that he was not practising at full load. No specific explanation why that was but he hasn't looked quite right so far this year.

If so, then another nick in game 1, may have slowed him down and explained the adding of 2 import DT's when Dixon got hurt.

Don't remember that one.  Do you remember who said it?  I can dig through the pressers...

He certainly looked "quite right" in week 1!!  ;D  ;D

Maybe his 2025 injury is still nagging.  What was it again?  Not hammy I hope.

Something popped out and he had to be taken off the field on a stretcher, only to come back in the second half...I can't quite remember the sequence.

Here is the 3DN story.

"Ceresna had to be carted off the field after going down following a short-yardage play early in the third quarter. He initially got up after the B.C. Lions converted but immediately indicated an issue with his knee before returning to the turf. Members of both teams gathered around him as he was taken off the field.

The 31-year-old went down with a similar injury following a short-yardage play earlier in the game, later indicating to TSN that his knee had popped out of alignment. He was able to return, recording two tackles and intercepting a batted pass."

Did anyone else see one of the Edmonton coaches go (Dave Dickenson) beserk when they scored in the 2nd quarter with their last TD that took so long to decide from the Command Centre?  I thought that female ref should have thrown a objectable/unsportsman penalty on him.

HC Mark Killam is pretty animated, a bit strange to see one of the league's younger coaches so unhinged, when the older coaches are mellowing out.

It was an obvious touchdown that took forever to call. The female ref was on the line and he was mad she should have called the TD which is fair but she couldn't find the ball nor could the umpire so CC had to make the call

Quote from: The Zipp on June 26, 2026, 05:32:56 PMgood - defence in 2nd half at times, crowd made themselves heard, halftime singer was great, never heard of the guy but has a great voice.

bad/ugly- edmonton should have been able to run the clock down and kick a walk off FG - they botched that possession.

Officiating was bad - didn't cost any team the game but the many times they had to huddle to figure thigs out like the Edmonton TD was a joke

First half defence looked lost - literally didn't know where to go.

Losing two in a row at home - terrible...

offensive play calling - meh, not trying for a pass to the end zone and maybe getting a PI - dumb

turnovers

not throwing into the end zone on the last play was mind boggling.   Demski didn't have a prayer of scoring after catching the ball at the 15.   Their D kept the receivers in front of them and basically set the trap for Demski.
Have all hands on deck go deep and even if you don't complete it there's always a chance of a PI in the end zone giving us the ball at the one YL.
We were well within striking distance so why not throw a hail Mary??

They got close enough you didn't even need a hail.  They should have been taking 2-3 shots to the corner fade or rear post, timing rainbows where only our REC could make the play and do the toe-tap.  Once they got to around the 45.  Zach's arm can do 2 55-60's if called upon and he can get set properly.  And with a big arc you can even throw pretty early to avoid the pressure.  Timing has to be perfect though, and we haven't seen that from Zach/O in forever.

It doesn't matter if every DB is playing way deep if you're doing that corner or back of EZ.  If they knock our REC early it's DPI.

Yes, fully agreed, dunking yourself into a loss was the biggest anti-climax ever.  No other team would have done that.
