Looking for solutions to our biggest glaring issue of the moment.

I think Jackson could be a good safety, good size and was a STer in the NFL, meaning he has speed

Sir Blue and Gold

The self scouting can't have gone well on that side of the ball.

Don't expect an instant fix, might take an entire season to figure out if these guys can contribute or not.

He was here last year, like Williams and Jenkins. I'm not saying he's an all-star, but he definitely could help more than another LB

Ok, didn't realize that.

I don't see it.  I don't think the DBs let us down, per se.  So one tries to blame the noobs (to us) Moxey & Williams?  Ya, ok, except the DBs were destroyed exactly the same way in the ESF.  With much better/deeper vets of our system.

That smells like a scheme problem, not a DB problem.  And if they are about to drop Moxey in a shocker, it will surely be for someone here in camp or a WPG vet, not some rookie.

The better solution is: when is Bonds healed up??  Say what you want about Bonds in '25, but he wasn't blowing coverages like Moxey/Nichols did all night.

I think Dexter Lawson was playing for Orlando.

Bomber's practice today. Anybody here going to be there? We'll all be interested in how the walking wounded are doing and whether they are back getting reps.

Obviously nearly all of them are on 6 game IR, so they'd have to be moved to 1 game IR or to AR in order to participate.

Hard to say who falls into which category but even being moved to 1 game IR would be encouraging. Several have had 3 weeks of healing since getting hurt in game 1. Smith is the only one I expect plays this week. However the injury status will fill in some of the blanks about those on the 6 game IR.

If they aren't moved to the 1  game IR, then the expectation is that we might not see them for an extended time.

EDIT: IR report is out.

1. Elsbury DNP due to non football issue. Not sure if he'll be out this week due to family, business or health issue. Could be nothing.
2. Vanterpool back to full practice. As I mentioned he'd have to be moved to the 1 game IR or AR to do that.
3. Brody Clark DNP. Jaylen Smith back to full practice and would be the replacement.

Nothing mentioned about: Allen, Ball, Woodbey, Schmekel or Dixon. so it doesn't appear that we'll have many changes to the AR this week.

Without knowing what's happening with Elsbury, there is a chance the OL gets shuffled and Vanterpool gets added to the AR. Has he had reps at center? Otherwise Eli more likely to start and Vibert returns as 6 OL. I suppose Wallace to the middle and Vanterpool to LG is a possibility.

I'm pretty sure Vant isn't a viable thought at C.  Eli would almost certainly get it.  Vibert would become 6th.  However, as you said, Elsbury is probably going to play.

Nothing wrong with Elsbury or Mazccua both were excused for returning from the bye week late for personal reasons.

I figured that but Vanterpool being moved off 6 game IR was curious. It may just be that he's moved to 1 game IR or reserve list. Team might have been a little short of OL with 2 absent.
