Both McInnis and Bolden seem to be playing very hurt.  The game is over.  Put one of the STer D guys in at REC to close out the game.  If you give McInnis a 6G from overplaying him here, then your year is complete toast.

Also funny and interesting: Betts doing jack squat this whole game.  Oh, like Ceresna did last week.  Are Reid/Revenberg that impenetrable?

I can't believe they let that clear OPI slide on the first Senecal TD.  Especially after that extremely strict DPI review earlier.  Command trying to give BC a consolation prize so the game doesn't look too pathetic.

Then again, they let the clear OPI slide for HAM earlier.

I think early season games need to set good and clear precedent on what command is trying to do.  Don't like this precedent because it's already inconsistent.

If we ve learned anything over the years and even decades is command centre is consistently inconsistent!! It just shouldn't be that way. You bump a guy early and compromise his ability to catch the ball it should be DI every time whether it's on the O or D

And TSN guys spent a whole quarter talking about how it's OPI only if you full-arm extend.  Then later on it's a full-arm extend and command says "nope, still not OPI".     

I really hate "mercy reviews".  Yet we've seen it time and time again.

Brice comes aboard in garbage time.  Pressure is off Hamilton.  They are simply attempting to run the clock and hopefully prevent BC TDs.  No way BC has time to catch up in the 4th.

You'd think so, but go watch Brice's passes again!  HAM squeezing tight windows and Brice was throwing dimes on wires.  It was night and day compared to Rourke.  And HAM wasn't just playing behind everyone either, they were still doing their normal alignment from what I saw.

That said, while the DBs/LBs were making things tough, now that you mention it their DL was weaker on the pressure.  So Brice did have more time and wasn't getting the snot beaten out of him like Rourke was getting all night.  A comfortable QB does make better plays than a harangued one.

It means HAM might be the best team in the league right now.  You could also argue SSK, but SSK really only has their dink & dunk game.  BLM can d&d you or zap you for 60Y pass every other play.

And yes, it means we can be a bit more forgiving of our team's sad sack excuse of a D last game.  It would also mean we might be on par with BC, rather than BC being the "West favorites" as nearly everyone said before week 1.  That would be great for us when we play BC (hopefully soon while they have no RECs!).

Opinion on Brice vs Rourke.  I know it was garbage time but he looks pretty good and seems to go through his reads much quicker than Rourke.  I know you can't start him because of the $$$$ involved, but is BC starting the better of the two on the bench?

The pi was inconsistent last night. The refs didn't have a great game but it had no effect on the outcome.

Just 2 games in and already a lot of pressure on BC. A lot of people predicting them to win it all before the season. They really haven't looked good yet.

I'll take Rourke if they don't want him.  It seems like an off couple of games and we'll see how long that continues but I don't doubt that the talent is there.

Brice has grown by leaps and bounds to become the next Dru Brown, I remember thinking BC should cut him each time he took the field last season, he looked terrible.  He'll never displace Rourke in BC but should be in line to replace one of the 4 old guard QB's in the next 2-3 years once they decide to retire. Recently signed a 2 year extension so he can bide his time in BC learning what he can from Rourke until a clear opportunity to start opens up elsewhere, potentially Ottawa by season's end.
