Ok, this is mostly just complaining. So ignore if you're optimistic and happy.

But man, only 3 games in each of the first two weeks. And then we finally get four games in week 3 - but three 3 of them are on Saturday... So no Thursday night game and still no Sunday game. Feels like we got an extra game but still less overall football.

Do we know why this is the case? A numbers game for TSN? A World Cup thing?

I was enjoying the rhythm previous years of a game each night Thurs thru Sun. It has been noticeably lacking through the first 2 weeks.

I feel like it could be a few things:

One is definitely world cup timing and availability. A couple of buildings are directly impacted also aside from being worried about tv viewership.

The second is more of a guess, but I wonder if this might be testing a new model of starting the season earlier (which we know they like and are doing) but being wary about NHL playoffs / other spring stuff. It makes sense to build momentum into the summer and fall by putting more games towards the end of the season.

The third is just something everyone already knows but it's really hard to balance byes across 9 teams. Expansion would be so good because 10 teams obviously makes 5 games a week but you could have so much more flexibility with even number of teams on the bye. You could do away with a staggered pre-season and you could time byes more strategically for viewership (heavy up on dates/weekends that draw well and the the reverse)

I like the schedule with a game a night from Thursday to Sunday that's perfect.

Couldn't care less about the hoopla soccer games and even watched the football game vs the Stanley cup final game—it's Carolina vs. Vegas , who cares who wins that !?!

Yes three games is not enough.

They have five streams...for streamers there is no reason to not have four games.

All decisions are made with a view to making the most money,so somehow this accomplishes that.

prob all of these things - the world cup is a once in a lifetime thing so i get the impacts.  another team would be huge.

You are not complaining you are stating facts.

Need 4 games, need a game each day of the week imo.

But can't ignore the bigger leagues either.  TV pays z bills.

Same here, one game per day including Thurs. nights, when they show multiple games in a day I fall behind and can't keep up.  Hard to justify watching 2 games in one day when the weather is nice with things that need to be done, same goes for hockey just watch the highlight reels.

I'd be fin if they did a double header on one day, so we at least had a thursday or a sunday game. But this is only 2 days with football now. And no one is going to still there on Saturday and watch all three. Horrible for viewership.

According to the schedule that's the only time that happens, although I see week 15th features 4 games on Saturday.

I wonder if the CFL will replay the games in the 30 minute highlights only like the Bluejays and hockey games do. Its better to engage viewers that miss the live telecast than not at all. Heck, I'd watch both!!
