If you purposefully do an action that ruins the jewels (or any other body part) then I think at least a suspension is warranted. Let's say he's instead standing there and takes the guys arm and snaps the bone in half... that wouldn't be tolerated. Neither should "invisible" injuries.

But, since this is new territory, likely only a 1-game? I dunno, you could draw parallels to guys doing blatant head hits or Strev-crippling, and those were usually 2 or 3 games, right?

BC took "physical" too far, and this is probably what gave them the edge. MTL players dropping like flies in that game. Maybe now we should forgive some of Alexander's excessive chirpiness?

I would think a lifetime ban wouldn't fly with the PA, and not sure it's ever been done in modern times. Best to just send a strong message and set precedent. In that sense you might want to come down hard like they did on the Strev-Crippler.

Why on earth would anyone play football without wearing a jock?

On another note how is it that mtrls Alexander never gets a misconduct penalty? He is right up in the face of opposing players in this case Betts, if it was a lineman doing that a flag would fly.

Looks like working at the Dairy Queen is in his future, the one place crushing nuts is looked on favourably.

That game got out of hand, and that's something the ref's need to be ahead of. There were too many penalties after the whistle.

Maas is known for his temper, and it looks like that is spreading. But Haggarty and company, well, something's just not right in the head there. Wonder if they get "random" drug screening when facing discipline like this.

HAGERTY, CALLIS AND KENT RECEIVE SUSPENSIONS FOLLOWING WEEK 15

TORONTO (September 17, 2026) – The Office of the Commissioner oversees suspendible offences at the Canadian Football League (CFL), while the Department of Health, Safety and Integrity manages league discipline.

The Commissioner and the Department – which includes Chief Football Operations Officer Greg Dick, Vice-President of Officiating Darren Hackwood, Vice-President of Football Operations and Player Safety Eric Noivo and Associate Vice-President of Football Operations Ryan Janzen – have issued three suspensions for actions committed during Week 15. Multiple fines are under review.

BC defensive back Joshua Hagerty has been suspended two games for striking Montreal running back Liam Talbot.
Montreal defensive back Don Callis has been suspended one game for leaving the bench area and for striking BC defensive back Deontai Williams.
BC defensive back Ronald Kent Jr. has been suspended one game for inciting an altercation.

Has the fine list been announced? I can't believe more guys aren't getting fines for the rest of the antics this week. Surely this is just the suspended list?

Good to see CFL is taking this stuff seriously. 2 game sounds about right.

Haggerty should get a lifelong nickname now, and not a flattering one. Something emasculating maybe. Maybe something about how he likes to fondle nads??

2 games is a slap on the wrist IMO. Feels like the league only wanted to give 1 but because of the attention they made it a *harsh* two.

How is it possible that anyone considers a "life altering" injury, one that was on purpose, 100% avoidable and way outside the code of not only football but manhood, a 2 game thing?

He didn't ruin his ability to have a family on purpose, he punched his nads for purpose of hindering his ability to play that game, and to demoralize him.

I would be fine with a 10 game suspension, but the cflpa agreement restricts what you can do. Not sure anyone negotiating that ever thought a player would try to castrate someone.

Maybe for the next agreement they can discuss stricter penalties.

totally agree. The league gives this spoiled brat special treatment because he's their 'franchise' Qb. Big deal. If he acts like a punk, flag him.

Alexander was the initial instigator, his outrageous behaviour and disrespect of Betts led to the game going out of control.

exactly and because of Alexanders behaviour, as a leader of that team, the rest of his teammates respond as well. If the refs refuse to call him on it then they are just asking for more trouble. It doesnt help that all the commentators are in love with Alexander,,and his "fire". regardless of how obnoxious he is
