i think with some time and experience he is going to be good.  he has qb experience in cfl and nfl.  has a great energy - he may find his spot in broadcasting somewhere.  if he is smart he will try and get 5 minutes somehow on the pat macafee show and it will grow from there

I think that if we can't have Bob forever that DT is about as good as you can get.

Every broadcaster has annoying things about them but it's important the good outweigh the bad and I think that's def the case with DT. Especially compared to so many of the other talking heads in the media in most all sports.

After a couple games and he got the Rider green out of his blood, I started to like him.  He works hard, has great knowledge and super enthusiastic. The pregame show is better than the one Bob Irving did. Yes, I said it. For play by play Bob is still the best but time was catching up and I'm glad he went out while still at or near top form.  Some of the other cities I have heard... let's just say be grateful we have DT.

Bob was like watching a game with your grandpa.  DT is like watching a game with your ADHD / autist nephew who drank Dr Pepper instead of taking his ritalin.

Personally I like both.  Sometimes it's nice to have some soothing time with your grandpa.  Sometimes you want the excitement of someone more your own age.  Clearly those in charge of media think we need to "go younger".  And so here we are.
