Blue In BC

Burrell has lost his chance to win the CB spot IMO.

I think that was clear when he started and played 3 quarters. He looked decent for a rookie, but green. We're in big trouble if Zach goes down. Tough to draw too many conclusions from preseason but to me, Bryce, Salter, and Schager on the riders all looked better than anything we have behind Zach.

I thought Perkins was a bit better G1, but Elg was clearly better tonight

Tecno

Lol. Both bc qbs 10x better than ours. Even their noname number 3. Lol

It's like we spend all camp picking our nose while bc and ask and probably cgy make even their 5th stringers into ballers.

Week 1 might be hairy scary
Never go full Johnston!

I mean I think he was promised it to get him here but that's just my theory. He's looking good tonight.  I preferred Perkins the other night though.

And their receivers.  We need better scouting ..and perhaps drafting.

I don't think Elgersma looked bad tonight. He's green, but did well.  He wasn't 10x worse than BC's backups.  He actually held his own against Rourke in the first, and we didn't have much for D starters at all.

I guess I am hopeful that our stable is better than it's been for a while.  Strev was of course a beast for short yardage, and not sure we have that.  But beyond that one specific area, I think we are are in better shape than we've been the last few years.

Ike looks like he could be good on short yardage.

Big Daddy

That was definitely not a one hopper.  Doug is wrong.

This is what I am hoping - that he is great on short yardage and Elgersma can learn and be the heir.  And that Collaros stays healthy all season and the O line keeps him upright all season.

Big Daddy

Why are Doug and Derek so convinced it wasn't a catch?  It obviously was.

Perkins at least looks like he can run short yardage
