Going into Kelly's 4th year, you would like to see some kind of improvement on the coverage side of things.
It's not a high bar for Stuart, so I hope he or Ball make the roster instead of Kelly.

Unfortunately Kelly continues to struggle, somewhat a similar problem with Cobb, they look like boys playing against men they can not physically compete with.  Kelly is usually seen on the backend of a play that did not work out well, and Cobb has ball security issues that could turn into a fright if he has to fill in as a starter or punt returner. Maybe these traits can be remedied but neither has much time to figure it out.

Hit Cobb hard and the ball flies out, happened on the weekend and happened at least twice last year in limited reps.  Maybe it's LB's smacking him as he runs inside routes or maybe he doesn't have the sense to go down before getting clobbered, some players should not be fighting for extra yards, just ask Clarence Denmark!

Interesting info, thanks.  I don't fully agree about Denny, he had good mitts and good ball security but a good example of another smaller player I'll give you that.  Some on here will recall my support for Denny and Denny 2.0.  There is chance I am forgetting his fumbles.  A TD machine!  Don't have to fight as much in the end zone at times .

I gave it more thought, are you talking about a specific big play that cost us?

Denmark did not fumble often, he went down easy, a self-preservation skill I think he picked up from Terrence Edwards.  Catch the ball, run like hell, go down on first contact when danger is imminent, survive to play another down. Dalton Schoen did not play that way.

Interesting, Bombers will spend around $250K on kickers this season. Vaval between $95/$109K.

Concerned that Vaval isn't practicing.  Is this a cautionary holdout, or is there an issue?

Are we looking at Alford's release from Hamilton?
