Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on May 18, 2026, 06:04:30 PMJake Kelly could be close to expiring, drafted in 2023, he's been given opportunities but hasn't really excelled in any way.  He was on and off the PR last season a few times so he's almost expendable.  It might come down to a fight between Hallett, Ball and Kelly for the last ST spot, he's 5 years younger than Hallett and has been healthier so that could play in his favour.

I wasn't really looking for him, but never once noticed Kelly in practice.

I did notice #7 a bunch, who is Ethan Stuart, a 2026 draft choice.

Unfortunate result. Is there any real competition at WIL now or does K. Wilson have that locked up?

Very unlikely that Wilson position was ever in danger..

Even before we signed Santos-Knox I thought Woodbey or one of the Canadian LB's drafted last year might be in the mix at WIL. Then the on going question about Ayers role and we still have 2 other import LB's on the roster.

K. Wilson is not horrible but he shouldn't just be handed the role as a starter IMO.

Kyrie probably rotates with Woodbey and potentially Ayers on passing downs as he gets eased out of the picture this year, hopefully he remains healthy and does well in his final season and retires on his own initiative.

That would make some sense but my view is that we might not be able to get all of them on the AR at the same time.

IIRC, Woodbey only got on the roster when Griffin was on IR or some combination of injuries?

But this year, Griffin and Woodbey are on the field together (with Wilson too).

That was his first year which he started on the PR where he sat until Sept, he's now getting rave reviews from TC, it wouldn't surprise me if he became the starter and Kyrie spelled him as needed.  Griffin probably wins the SAM spot and shares a bit with Smith, I think the glut of LB's is the real reason Kramdi is being moved to Safety.
