Nice, I like it. AB4 could still be a valuable member of this organization. Will he be the next player to go into the ring.

I was happy when I found out. He put his heart into Blue Bomber Football on and off the field.

I hope he comes back in some sort of defensive coaching role.

I could see him be a guess coach for rookie camp and or training camp but not during the season.

I'm sure he makes a few bucks at his day job. Also, he's prolly kept busy with Recruit Ready, his young family and all the charities he's involved in.

You scared the beegees out of me with the thread title!  Nice one.

Clearly it was time for him to hang them up.  Arguably never should have seen a snap in CGY.  They got the info they paid for, why embarrass him?

Love me some Biggie, and I'll be eternally grateful.  He, Nichols & AH are what turned this team around, or we'd still be as bad as OTT is now.

I'm not 100% sold on that.  We'd like to think so, but the ring has to be kept for very rarified air, for obvious reasons (like physical space).  For players that spent a zillion years here and made an outsized impact.

I think AH33 is the closest thing to a shoe-in (except maybe how it all ended?).  But if AH doesn't go in, then Biggie has no chance.  Where does Zach fit in this?  He's gotta be above Biggie in the order.  And even Willie could be mentioned, or Demski.  Or Neuf.  Or Big Stan.  Actually, after AH, Stan probably deserves it the most.

Probably only room for 1 of the guys I listed!  2 would be a surprise.  Just take the current ring size and divide by the years WFC existed.  Probably 1 a decade?

Now... HoF's... that's easier.  Many of these guys will be quick HoFers.

Adam Bighill retires as a Blue Bomber

WINNIPEG, MB., April 20, 2026 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the signing of Adam Bighill to a one-day contract so he can officially retire as a member of the football club.

Bighill
, 37, spent six of his 13 Canadian Football League seasons with the Blue Bombers (2018-24) and played his final game as a member of the Calgary Stampeders last year.

Bighill was part of two Grey Cup championship teams in Winnipeg, winning in 2019 and 2021. Ninety-four of his career 199 regular season games were with the Blue Bombers. He also appeared in 99 games as a member of the B.C. Lions (2011-16) and six last season with the Stampeders while spending parts of 2017-18 with the New Orleans Saints.

A dominant force on the field at the middle linebacker position and a vocal leader in the locker room, Bighill was named a CFL All-Star six times, including in 2018 and 2021 with the Blue Bombers and was the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player three times, twice with Winnipeg in 2018 and 2021.

Bighill was named the Blue Bombers Most Outstanding Player in 2018 and the club's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2018 and 2021. He ranks second all-time in franchise history in defensive tackles with 430 behind Greg Battle (587) and sixth on the CFL's career tackles list with 951.

After an outstanding collegiate career at Central Washington, Bighill first turned pro with the Lions in 2011 and was part of B.C.'s Grey Cup championship team that season.

Bighill and his family continue to live in Winnipeg.
