The Roughriders celebrate the first two black players to play for the team.

Robert Ellis Jackson, aka Stonewall Jackson, played with Regina in 1930, Saskatoon in 1931 & St.John's (WPG) in 1932

Gabe Patterson won the WIFU scoring title in 1947. August 28, 1948 he played QB (Q4) against the Blue Bombers.
