Quote from: Pete on December 14, 2025, 02:24:46 AMCan't see them going away from Cdn at sam especially with Smith likely to play a bigger role in his 2nd year. Plus I would think they would have thoughts about adding an import to the oline.

And they'd probably want Kramdi and Smith but who knows if Kramdi will stay and who knows if Smith can do it. Plus you need to plan for scenarios where he's hurt early or gone for a long stretch. Part of the deal is just having the body types in camp to see how it all shakes out.

What the coaches have to teach their players in camp is how to tackle with their arms instead of just hitting players with their shoulder pads. Notice a Big difference in tackling in the grey cup game from Sask and Montreal players.

I see no reason for him to walk.  He's highly valued and always touted by the coaches, and that's gotta feel nice for him.  He'll be paid an uninsulting salary here, and he knows he can be part of the long term plans here.

Plus, he's good, but not superstar/Ford level good, meaning who the heck else would want to snipe him with an overpay offer??  That's the best thing about these non-ELCs who are "pretty good" but not tier-1 good.  And we seem to have a lot of them, and I think that's overall beneficial to build a base around.

Kramdi is terrible for trying to tackle without using his arms, he should take lessons from Holm.

This is a legit prospect!
I know the ones that I'm the highest on seem to fail the hardest, but I wouldn't try and change positions for him. We need another lock down DB and this is one with a little extra size!
Guys like Philpot, Rhymes, Alford that would snag the jump balls would have a little more competition with someone like this.
He still has to be a good cover guy, but his situation is exactly what you want.
Undrafted, but measured well in the combine. Joined an NFL team for preseason and did very well (3 knockdowns is really good!). Got hurt, and now those NFL teams aren't interested in waiting around for him.
So long as he's healthy, I think this could turn out to be a bigtime player!

I think if the Bombers don't find a Canadian safety in FA, Cam Allen is the odds on favorite to win that position in TC. He has 10 games CFL experience and understanding our D, will give him an advantage.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

I wouldn't have even considered the possibility of anyone else being safety next season.
My wife is amazing!

Depends where Kramdi fits in and where they play Griffin, Woodbey and Ayers.  Will they walk away from Kyrie to make room for some of the younger guys?

Which would be very ironic considering this was Kyrie's first 18-game all-healthy season since '19, and probably his best, stats-wise.

Kyrie was very good at WILL in '25.  The only thing I would say boo about is out LBers as a whole didn't do enough to stop the run explosions and TDs in big games -- but that might be more on scheme.

If he stays healthy and remains affordable, why ditch him?  Since he's 33 already, maybe do a 1-year and go from there.
