His brother isn't a free agent but if he was I'd try and bring him back. We don't have a CB returning at the moment. Yes he'd be expensive and that's the downside.

...Sign them both and have them both compete for corner back is really the way to handle those guys.

I don't think there is much chance Tre ford beats out Tyrell as a CB. My thinking is that while we don't NEED another starting Canadian, it would allow us to seamlessly move to a 3 import OL. A import OL is still possible but means we lose the ability to have another import elsewhere.

Ford flips an import spot to a Canadian spot. His current contract is $236K which seems " less " based against new 2026 SMS for Holm and Nichols this year compared to last year.

I don't see the Elks trading Tyrell but it's an interesting thought.

Dequoy had a $161K max and is an actual pending free agent. He'd also flip an import spot to a Canadian, so same potential upside.

Tyrell Ford is signed with Edm thru 2027. So he won't be a free-agent for a couple of years.

Wonder if Tyrell regrets leaving the Bombers now?

Nope. He left to the highest bidder and nothing has changed.

Exactly, he's not a FA. And even if he was, I doubt much has changed from the Bombers' perspective. We have many highly paid position groups. We need to be able to rely on our scouting to fill in the gaps - corner is always where we try and save money.

He never really got into Wpg. anyway, don't think he cared much when he left.

Hard to say what he real reason for leaving Winnipeg.  At the time he said his goal was to play with his brother, but money also enters into the equation as well.  All things being equal (which they are not) I would bring him back if we ever have the chance.
