Well that's 5 players that have taken the NFL option so far. The good news is that nothing so far about Vaval. Also haven't heard anything about Wooden.

Biggie moves one step closer to starting! He must be considering retirement though, this can't go on forever.

Seems These three are doing a good job

:The Stampeders' football operations staff for 2026 includes:

• Assistant general manager and director of player personnel Brendan Mahoney
• Director of U.S. scouting Cole Hufnagel
• Director of Canadian scouting and U.S. scout Dwayne Cameron:

I have thought that John Hufnagel seemed to have good contacts in US.

Biggie was 100% ineffective in the few games he dressed for in 2025.
Never go full Johnston!

Are they desperate for RECs or something?  That's a bizarre move.  If true, the dude will probably be back for labor day.  That should make SSK happy.

Didn't Meyers get some guaranteed money in his deal. I didn't hear about that for the other players yet. There are still several talented CFL players we haven't heard how things are going.

He's better than you think, just ask the Cincinnati Bengals!  :D

Your anti Rider bias is showing Techie, he's a pretty decent reciever

His athleticism is top level. Bit small, but there are other small defensive backs  playing there.

That interception he made would have wowed them.

I like seeing all these guys get a chance to make a lot of money.

I never hide my Rider bias.  But your statement proved my point: "pretty decent".  Why is "pretty decent" getting a spot on an NFL team?  I thought the NFL only sniped the best of the best of the best (... and, uh, Strevie).

So I thought, maybe Meyers is 6'2, NFL loves giants... nope, only 5'10.

Sometimes I really don't understand the NFL.  BC's Carter going down, that makes sense.  Zylstra & Walker when they went, that made sense.  Singleton, makes sense.

There are about 15-20 RECs in the CFL I'd take before Meyers.  So why him?  The only other thing I can think of is he's still super young (25).

Riderfans discuss Meyers as if he's a homerun hitter, can't say I noticed him more than a few times, but than Trevor Harris rarely takes the time to throw the deep ball.

RedBlacks hire Reinbold as STC as well as Pete Costanza as receiver coach, hard to understand why no one  willing to make Costanza an OC, must come down to personality.
