As much as I'd like to join the bandwagon and jump all over Hogan, we have no idea whether it is his play calling or the execution by the team/QB.

We've seen countless plays where Zach throws into double or triple coverage with an open man, under/over throwing a rec leading to a pick, or Streveler pulling it down after one steamboat and running.  We have no idea how many RPO's were changed either at the line, or never even considered as the R.

What were those plays actually called as?  Do we need a more balanced run/pass offence?  Are we shifting appropriately from pass heavy to run heavy or vice versa depending on the score?

I'm not sure if Zach's confidence level is compromised, or its just his eyes see things his arm can't deliver on anymore.  When he's on, he's amazing.  But when he's off, he's a turnover machine.

I'd say again I'd like to see what Wilson can do in game, but in this case, he's going to be against a depleted SSK team, so its almost preseason reps.  Better than nothing, though.  If we get out to a lead, I really hope they sit Zach while he's ahead and confident.  And put in Wilson, not Streveler.  Love the role CS17 played last game, that is where he excels.  Give him a play or two, SY, here and there, but not a whole series...

Wonder if they'll manage to injure our q.b.
We have to ask that question every game, Zach is one hit away from retirement.

Pretty telling that we don't know that. A vet OC would have his stamp on it by now.

Whats my biggest beef with OC (Hogan) he doesen't seem to adjust to the flow of the game.  Our offence right now is so predictable and playing with no chemistry.  The body language on ZC tells it all.

It shows on the field with our players looking frustrated when the play isn't made.  To me it looks like the morale isn't there or confidence.

I don't know what else to say but I hope they pull it together and win the game on Friday and know they have made it into the playoffs.

One asset they've lost is the ability to make good use of the jet-sweep, they so rarely call it now it's more like a trick play when they do.  Other than Demski they don't have a well built receiver who is good at YAC to make it work, like they did with Bailey.

It's a combo plate but one that wasn't thrust upon us..when the Hogan hiring was done many of us questioned going with a rookie and a RB coach and our concerns have been realized.  We have long stretches in game where we have no first downs - the offense is predictable.  We have some great talent like every team does that makes some great plays but this is not a consistent offense.  Without Zach we are pretty much useless.

Funny how the team with a healthy and playing Hardrick is in first place again.  He is one of the best to ever play the position and it shows - not retaining him, not retaining Lawler, older Zach, hiring a rookie OC, not being able to  have Andrew Harris on our staff, having a backup QB who isn't a QB...all of these were the Bombers choices and the reason we haven't even qualified for the post season yet.

Can't shake the feeling that MOS hires his friends. Still don't know what took so long to make the OC hire.

Yeah but... streveller, Collaros, Dru brown, Masoli.

All Riders caused injuries I believe.

They seem to have a way of injuring quarterbacks and usually costs them a fifteen yard penalty at worst.

Re OC hire....

I wonder if they offered it to Jarious, and he mulled it over and said no thanks.  Not liking what he saw here as far as career move goes.
All the things mentioned here, he knows about them.

He probably is a contender Redblacks head coach. He's shown he's a good head coach.

Jackson is not turning down OC but taking QB coach.  I am sure Hogan is getting words of wisdom from JJ... MOS never fires coaches mid season, so I don't think JJ took the job looking for an opportunity if Hogan dropped he ball...

Not sure Dyce gets canned in Ott, they've stuck with him in the past...  not sure how much of their woes can be laid at his feet.

I agree there seems to be a lack of cohesion on offence. To me it feels like Hogan and Zac arent on the same page. When that happens the playcalling and the execution both suffer

Agree on the body language, players are frustrated with our inept OC

Collaros has had a history of head injurys dating back to when he signed with the Riders in 2018, if not further back then that. Remember, he got his bell wrung as a Rider in 2019 and that is what started the road to him being a Bomber.

I meant after Buck went to B.C. And we were looking for an offensive coordinator.

Not clear I guess.
