The Zipp

poor tecno is in the feels...this is like that one buddy who gets dumped by his girlfriend and he is crying and trying to play his guitar and say how much he loved her.

snap out of man it isn't that bad - let's see them play in 24 hours.

to bad the bombers didnt. I would have liked to see mitchell

TecnoGenius

If we can come out of the gate smacking mouths like weak TOR is doing to the far better MTL in the first half, we have a shot.  That's literally what it will take to win this.

I'll hand it to Dinwiddie, he'll put the fear of God in his players to get them to perform.  MOS, not so much.

Ya, if Mitchell doesn't get in in a perfect situation like this (literally what he was hired for), then one would think that's it for D.Mitchell in WPG.

Pete

the toronto/montreal game is an example of intensity trumping talent as well as a good game plan

dd

Football is all about intensity. Come out and just go through the motions and you get it handed to you like we did last week. I m thinking playing at home in front of 30,000 fans is going to amp up the bombers and we ll beat the Stamps tomorrow

Don't count Zach, Brady and our defense out.  A big challenge but we have a decent chance to show the league we still can throw the knockout punch.

Patience grasshopper.  Case is next man up for now.  Trust the mafia.

It's just still really early in the season and teams are still figuring things out and gathering more tape in each other.

Montreal was unbeatable for 3 games and Grey Cup favourites, now they're about to finish a 3 game losing streak to be 3-3.

Then it was Saskatchewan who was dominating. 4-0, but they run into Calgary and wilt in their first challenge.

Now everyone thinks Calgary is amazing, but they also lost to Ottawa, their one big addition is Vernon Adams Jr, and as much as he's gotten a raw deal for most of his career, we've never seen him complete a full good season before.

The next shoe will drop.

Montreal didn't drop the shoe yet.  Terrible start but battled back like the kings they are.  Now Alexander is hurt again and that will be tough.  Agree on the rest.

With a healthy Alexander Montreal is very deadly but don't sleep on Toronto once Kelly is back.  Lots of parity, just the way I like it.

dd

Montreal will struggle without Alexander and be lucky to go 500 without him. Toronto wins the east when kelly gets back

Quote from: TecnoGenius on July 17, 2025, 11:20:40 PMWe picked a great time to try out a completely new OL lineup, against the league best team who gets tons of pressure and 100% shuts down the run game.  Vanterpool's first start at LT I think.  Still no Lofton at RT.  Wallace with very few LG starts.

I think only 2 guys are starting in their original "desired lineup" spots: Ko-man and Neuf.

Pair that with a brand new starting REC who has zero gel with Zach in the most critical #1 REC spot and I hate to say it, but there's going to be a heck of a lot of groaning, boos, and early leavers on Fri night, maybe putting an end to our streak of sell-outs.

If we have any hope of winning, it'll have to be the D that does it with +3 takeaways.

Any chance we can trade away all our '26 DPs for E.Lewis right about now?

Last game Vanderpool replaced Stanley sometime in the 4th Q, Wallace has played a fair bit of LG as has Randolph at RT, so nothing really new.  They're coming together as a unit and no one has been thrown into the fire untried yet, which is a game Sask plays all the time.

Disclaimer: one more injury on the O-line and they're in deep trouble.

TOR's hole is huge.  MTL now has one of the critical divisional games vs TOR.  MTL can afford to lose a few of the next 5 vs West games and still win the East.

And Kelly may be full of rust for a few games, too.  It's been nearly a year.  And who knows, if he got the plate & bolts things like many bad breaks do, he may be way less mobile, and then he'll be "just a" pocket passer like Zach.

The OTT loss in the +7C rain means nothing.  No one had any grip, no one could throw the ball.  It was like the mud bowl.  OTT was genius to start Crum, a pure running QB.  CGY should have started a "running QB" too.

VAJ has always stunk in inclement weather.  And in a game you can't throw, he's literally the worst QB you could start.

This is why VAJ will choke again in this post-season: he'll suck in the cold weather.

Interesting how CGY is playing the "DNA/DNS" game with Moncrief, their DNA.  He's in there most of the game wreaking havoc (SSK fans sure noticed), but he's on the chart as "backup" SAM.

Teitz/Sambu are the DNS's who have to come off for Moncrief to get his 25 snaps.  Yet I thought Wilson was on the field a whole ton as MLB?

How are they getting Wilson + Moncrief on the field at the same time?  Or is it Wilson in on 1st (run) and Moncrief in on 2nd (passing)?
