TSN cut away from the panel killing time to some Top-whatever show.  I hope they don't change which channel is going to carry the game without notifying us.

Read earlier in the (short) thread.  3 hours is the limit.

There is some debate on Rider forum whether the 30 mins player warmup is included in this 3 hours, though.  As well as whether the CBA mandates 30 mins or whether they can shorten warm-up.

In any event, they'll ditch all the pre-game pageantry, as well as shorten the halftime.  It'll be like super-fast warmup then straight to KO.

The Red Hot Blue Jays up 7-0, Valdi with his 1000 hit.

Anyone have an answer to that 30 min warmup dilemma?  Because if that 30 min warmup is mandated and part of the 3 hours, then this game is officially cancelled...

Maybe the Stamps dancing in the tunnel counts as warmup lol

Hearing from relatives that they left the stadium, smoke was still very bad. Daughter was saying Winnipeg is terrible right now.

Well a Google search provided me:
QuoteNo, the CFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) does not explicitly state whether the 30-minute warmup is included within the three-hour delay. However, the CBA likely addresses the overall process for handling weather delays, including the procedures for resuming play after a delay. A 10-minute warm-up is mentioned in the context of resuming play after a weather delay, but it's unclear if this is explicitly part of the three-hour window or a separate procedure.
Here's why:
Weather Delay Procedures:
The CFL has specific procedures for weather delays, including communication protocols and updates on the estimated time for resuming play.
Warm-up after Delay:
When a weather delay ends, the league provides an "all clear" signal, and teams are allowed a 10-minute warm-up before play resumes.
No Mention of Warm-up in Delay Calculation:
The CBA likely focuses on the overall delay time and the process for determining when it's safe to resume play. It does not explicitly state whether the 10-minute warm-up is part of the three-hour delay or a separate period.
Interpretation:
The interpretation of the CBA regarding weather delays is likely handled by the league in consultation with the players' association.
Therefore, while the 30-minute warm-up is not explicitly mentioned within the three-hour delay calculation in the CBA, it is a separate period for players to prepare for the resumption of play after a weather delay.

The CFL CBA isn't a public document so I'm guessing it's grabbing from articles over the years. Closest I can find so far.

I also saw our game we had on a Thursday back in 2018 with Strevy that was delayed two hours and 55 minutes and we kept on, there would have been warmup for that too no? So maybe not.

At this point it's about 25 minutes left to make the call, guess we'll see.

That's before they wrote the rules.  Back then it was up to the league/commish to pull a delay/cancel decision out of his butt.

In some ways that was better...
