Watching Kyper & Bourne today, in which Kyper said that the talk around HellB is very much alive
He suggested Buffalo may push and he was told Florida is still interested

Personally think that Buffalo and the Hurricanes would peak our goal tenders interest. Chevy would definitely want Bussi or from the Sabres, U. Luukkonen, involved in a package

Reports that Carolina is interested in Helle. I would be okay with that, but not what there offering. Return would have to be a top 6 forward like Jarvis or Blake, Nikishin, and Bussi.

Getting Bussi and Jarvis would be fine with me

Jets GM Cheveldayoff does not confirm Hellebuyck trade request

Not that Cheveldayoff ever answers anything directly, so take what you will from this.

It sounds like it's going to take a major haul to move Hellebuyck, and it doesn't sound like interested teams are willing to make that happen. At least not yet.

CH37 has 5 years of a team friendly contract, and a history that includes a recent Gold Medal.

Yes, you need a HAUL for him.  You need a better than average goalie, a better than average 2C, a second pair Dman on a team friendly contract with term, and DPs upgrades or outrights.  If you have one of those spots identified in FA, you can upgrade the ask for the others.

I don't like the idea of trading him, but I like the idea of him not being happy here less, and not reporting even worse.

With what Chevy for for Laine, and then PLD, I have high hopes that IF something happens, it will be good.

Hoping for the Trade
Draft is in Buffalo and do want to hear Bettman say
" we have a trade " and that HellB goes to the Sabres and our Jets get the 4th pick and a good package, including a second line centerman
  Am I thinking wrong

So the Jet's take Bjorck at #8. Small forward 5'10" 180, who has great speed.

No trade by Chevy tonight though there was a few dandies

At #8 we picked Viggo Bjorck
He's a highly touted water beetle from Sweden.

#833
So, how ready is Bjorck?

Is he capable of starting as 2C? Button seems to think so.

What you need to know about Jets No. 8 pick Viggo Bjorck

What Bjork lacks in size he makes up for in speed and skill. Comparisons to Point and Stankoven certainly help his cause for what he's capable of as a pro.

Looking forward to his development with the Jets.

Sounds like he's a Suzuki type.  Apparently he's been playing with men for a while, and holding his own, and top C on the National team... has a great hockey IQ.  Pairing him with Perfetti and maybe Lambert could be interesting.  I know early line charts suggest Iafalo, but I think we need to take more advantage of the young guns.
