Quote from: jets4life on May 17, 2026, 11:42:15 AMThere is a rumor going around (not sure how true it is), that the Jets are prepared to bring back Patrik Laine for the right price ($2.0 million/season or so). I know how passionate some people on social media are to see him return. If Laine is willing to sign for fraction of what he is worth, and no team is interested in him, I say why not.

That would be a terrible decision.  We don't need an injured prone, post prime, lazy right winger.  We already brought in a washed up Jonathan Toews, we don't need a washed up Laine as well.

Laine might have some gas in the tank left.  With the right motivation, still a lot of Laine jerseys at the rink.

$1mil base, performance (not play) bonuses to a max of $2mil, 4th line wing, PP sniper in his office.  If he still has his shot...  and keeping his ice time limited with a speedy opposite reduces liability and injury.

There have been worse ideas.  Lightning in a bottle is he recaptures any of his past glory.

Boy, talk about desperate for news about the 2C position.  This tweet...

Hearing the Winnipeg Jets have reached out to Mike Santorelli's camp today.

Winnipeg believes he can turn back the clock. Have the Jets found their 2C?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

If we sign either of these guys I would no longer be a season ticket holder.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

If he gets no bites elsewhere, would a PTO be appropriate for Laine?

Would the Canes bring Ehler's buddy in, or would that be a distraction?

This was a satirical tweet. He's making fun of the Jets.

I realize that, that's what I mentioned about how desperate we are for 2C news...

Noted —- that after 3 games for Canada, in the Worlds tournament, our man #55 Scheif is the Only skater, who has played in all, without a point.
Last game he was on the wing, where he has played all games, with Thomas, at centre, from the Blues and sniper Vilardi.

The line played well together and Scheif was certainly trying hard. Noticeably, he has been back checking

Maybe that's the role he's been asked to play. Weird he hasn't got a point, but he still a good hockey player and deserves to be playing there

He obviously gave up trying to play any sort of defense this season. Was going for 100 points.
