NBA looking at weighting draft lottery in favour of the 4th-8th worst teams, giving current tankers more incentive to win down the stretch.

Kinda stupid, but kinda brilliant at the same time.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Can't see us picking up any points tonight. Knights are fighting with the Oilers for top spot. I expect the knights to come at us early.

Yep I'm good with giving up now. 3 games to season the Moose-soon-to-be-Jets players with some hard NHL minutes.

Was fun while it lasted. The November-January inexplicable meltdown was expectedly our undoing and a very valiant March/early April sure made it interesting but couldn't salvage that part of the season which constituted about half of it and was a total disaster. A lot of people forget that our October was 8-3 and we were tops in the league which set expectations understandably high (coming off a President's Trophy season) only to completely melt down out of nowhere.

Let's hope that was a fluke and that with some astute roster decisions this off-season can get back to holding onto a solid playoff spot the entire year.

9-3 on Nov. 1st.
15-20-4 on Jan. 1st.

How to sink a season in two months.

Some big questions going into this off-season.

I would say Chevy, gambled on Nyquist, and Toews, and lost. Early injuries to Helle, Fetts, Lowry, and Samberg, didn't help this team. We needed a 2nd. line C in the off season and Chevy didn't deliver. Waited to long to get some speed into the lineup. Waited to long to move on from Stanley and Schenn.

Agreed Chevys reign of terror should come to an end

The Jets are apparently just the fifth team in NHL history to go from winning the Presidents' Trophy to not making the playoffs a year later.

The only silver lining last night was Scheifele cracking 100 points on the season. (first player in Jets 2.0 history to pull off that feat)

On to the off-season.

I wonder how many teams have won the cup and didn't make the playoffs.

Certainly a thrill for Yager. Faceoffs were tough for him but he definitely showed speed, skill and compete.

Won't rant on any negative. Pleased to see a feisty effort, especially in the third.
