I was really impressed with Michael Griffin last night. He was all over the field all night.Bombers look like they have found another young player who is coming into his own. Great start to the season.

He's been dominant in both games so far, can't figure out what position he's playing and who he replaces when he comes on?

I could be wrong but is he playing when we got 3 man DL set? I really don't know either, just guess.  This guy is a stud!

Hopefully we can retain him, every year we develop a stud or two on D and O and sometimes lose them.

The way he is playing he might get PAID.

I love Griffin. A key defensive starter. Outstanding young pocket up.
Season ticket holder since year 1 of the Reinbold era.

He's a great player and fun to watch. I think he's on when we go to a 3 man front and we're using 4 LB's. In theory that would suggest Adams comes off to maintain the ratio? Griffin is a DI.

Adams also gets kicked out to DE when one of Vaughters or Willie comes off.
My wife is amazing!

That makes sense, on the depth chart he's listed behind Kramdi at SAM but in reality I think he's playing the role Ayers was pencilled in for at DE.  Haven't seen much of Ayers but it appears he's rotating with Wilson at WIL.  Abusing the depth chart may be another form of trickery O'Shea is employing this year, or maybe they didn't want to add an extra LB slot.

I'll have to check exactly when Griffin is in... but we almost never brought just 3 in game 2.  We may have only 3 DL in, but a LBer is sneaking up to the line at the snap to replace him.

More of Hall's TM "Smoke and Mirrors".

Ssssh.  Don't say that!  He's almost certainly up for renewal after this season.  Mafia never pays a DI LBer big money.  He'll have to be kept under $110k.

The only alternative if others want to pay him is we have to start him so we can justify the $.

I agree Griffin is becoming very noticeable on D, and ST.  Very fast, and always near the ball.  Oh, and a hard hitter with some beef.  Reminds me of Gaitor.

No one abuses that chart like Mafia does!

Great take and yes my bad I might cost us some money or a player ;)

I'm not sure I'd define it that way exactly. Yes he becomes the outside DL when an actual DE is off the field in those situations. The reality is that he's still in the same spot as a DT. The difference being now we have a LB outside of a DT instead of a normal DE.

I suppose at times we shift him out to actual DE spot when we put 2 Canadians in at DT in a 4 man front.

Many of our players line up in various looks / combinations.
