Argos starting WIL Kenneth George Jr. carted off the field after an illegal block.  Sucks for Argos.

All of these low blocks have names.  Why didn't Major name it?  Lame.

Pretty sure the one they were referencing allows for that low block as long as the REC is within the tackles when the ball is snapped.  And I's pretty sure he moved just to the inside of the box in time!  And if not, he was outside the box by mere inches.

Maybe in the off-season it's time to make those illegal too.  Maybe allow only 1 non-OL to make those blocks: the RB.  RECs will be forbidden from doing what Busby did, no matter where they line up (unless lined up in the RB/TB position pre-snap).

I don't get why TOR/Arbuckle is hucking 40Y balls.  Why not stick to the scheme that worked great in the GC?  The O is very similar.  Just dink & dunk and throw the odd 20Y zone as your "deep" pass.

Someone is screwing up by calling these deep shots for INTs and batdowns.

242 penalty yards combined so far.

They must mean this season?  Surely 2 teams can't have 242Y in 3Q of 1 game?  While they got a ton of misconducts, those are only 10-15 each.  So if there was like 8 at the time, that's only 80-120 or so.

That TOR player pegged the situation at the halftime interview: SSK purposely does things to goad you into taking UR/MC flags.  You have to not bite.  It looks like this'll be a major strategy of SSK this year, even more so than usual.  WFC will have to be very disciplined when we face them.  Refs aren't calling the goading / first hits, they are calling the later things that they actually see.

Alford KR TD worked only because of refs missing:

1. Obvious IB push from behind on SSK #42 right at the point of attack to start the run (this they usually see, oh well) (this one is not visible on replays)

2. Another takedown from behind (and hold) on SSK a little farther in the run, right at the point of attack

Very typical of SSK ST, this kind of illegal tactics.  Year after year, they are the best team for ST cheating.  Why not, what do they lose here?  Worst case is they still go into OT.  But it makes it really frustrating when playing them.

Refs should be quick to flag, and let the returning team challenge if they think there isn't IB.  You can challenge a call, but they don't let you (yet) challenge a non-call.

I get my pick, but SSK gets 2 more points early in the season.  I am sad we don't get to see the meltdown of SSK losing because of a Lauther miss, though.
