Surely they didn't pay him $240k again? Hevery won't pay for receivers or LB's but is happy to pay a DB $100k more than Evan Holm!

I thought it was an odd extension. I don't think he lit it up in Edmonton this year (only 2 interceptions), he was overpaid, and I don't see his brother staying in Edmonton with Fajardo now the starter.

You think he gets a better deal elsewhere other than Edm?  He probably has guaranteed money in his deal, that Edm will have to spend on him anyways, so why not take him as QB2 and insurance at that discount?  Give him permission to seek a new deal, and if he doesn't get a starters offer, renegotiate.

I don't think the team wants him or he wants to be there.

I don't think any team trades for him unless he renegotiates his contract or the Elks pick up the guaranteed money. That and having to give up some asset in return won't make it easy. Neg list or lower draft choices maybe.

It is interesting that his brother gets extended when he wanted to play with his brother. Money talks though.
