If he can't go on the IR he's likely in danger of being cut sooner than later.

Given the salary he's making and the time he's injured, I'd move on, especially since #30 ran really well last game and Karey is coming, boom, done deal.

Oullette was always a bust. It was a dumb move that many of us warned against when he first switched teams.

But how much off-season / signing bonus are they on the hook for for 2025 for him? $100k? That won't get 6GIR relief, should they go that route.

As for Carey: he's a decent placeholder, nothing more. He aged out when he left CGY. He'll probably get hurt too. That said, what else are they gonna do? Gotta do something, and this is better than nothing.

Definitely a good move for the Riders. Carey is a top notch RB when he's healthy and happy.

Ouellette received an off-season bonus of 40k. (Carey received a bonus of 20k from the Argos)
