I'd like to see the vets play a quarter this game and a half the next game, but I know that isn't going to happen. It's likely that we see Zach as much as we saw Adams in the BC/CGY. IE on the bench.

Could care less who wins the pre-season games, the less we see of Zach and Brady the better.  More interested in seeing the new players and hope they all receive a fair opportunity to perform.  Seen it before when a 4th string QB is limited to a few dead snaps at the very end of a pre-season game and is cut the next day.

It's important to establish continuity on the o-line and determine who among the candidates wins the few jobs available, hopefully the vets. all dress for the home-game and they can plug the competitors in one at a time so they're not badly influenced by rookie mistakes on their left or right.

It doesn't matter too much in any other position, although hard to judge the D-line playing against a raw O-line with no cohesion, pass rushers tend to look much better than they actually are in pre-season contests.

If it were me, I'd start the starters tomorrow at home and give them a quarter or perhaps a half - no travel costs which is nice - everyone can be dressed. Then I'd bring a young group to Regina for the second pre-season game and see how much stress we can apply.

I want to see him change it back and forth from pleased Dwight to shocked Dwight based on what's going on with the Bombers at that particular moment.

If we're not playing our starters in the preseason, why do it at all?

The OL needs to gel, and that means playing together as well as playing in front of Zach and Brady. Zach needs to develop timing with the receivers against competition. We have multiple new bodies as well as Dalton who hasn't played in a year.

We have so many positions that are set. Playing back-ups who are about to get cut is wasting our time. Give position groups a chance to work together before the season starts. It's what these games are meant for.

The meals was m'eh.  I know, I make food critics blush, and I am rarely ever satisfied with anything, but when you pay top dollar for something, you expect to get some value and enjoyment.  And hopefully they take constructive criticism and get better.  Nothing harder in food service than bulk servicing dining for an unknown size of crowd with food that has to be prepared ahead and held for service, so the choices you make have to make sense.

I was disappointed they couldn't do more with it, the biscuits were rock hard, the coleslaw was weak. definitely not creamy and very raw cabbage tasting, the brisket was OK (surprisingly, I was able to talk them into 2 slices as well as 2 pieces of chicken), Chicken was very basic like a food service fried chicken you'd get at superstore in the big bag and while the skin was crunchy, it wasn't the good kind of crunchy.  But I ate most of it.

My buddy passed on the meal, and opted to eat at halftime.

Sliders and poutine.  They put the gravy on the fries, and the curds on top.  Who does that?  But a nice chunk of brisket on top of that, they failed to mention it was "Brisket Poutine", not sure if that was an accident, or they realized $18 for a poutine wasn't reasonable.  The sliders were apparently very good, overall, he said it was probably the best meal he's had in our years going to Pinnacle.

First meal of the year, room for improvement, lets hope they take up the challenge.

Yes, but was the size of the cheese ladle to your satisfaction this time?

Why waste your time and mine with inane comments?
