Just finished watching the CFL wired show, again.
I did not realize Collaros was the worst he has ever played in the 4th quarter.

I knew he injured his finger, but why did the lousy coaching or management leave him in the game.  He threw three interception, and two or three led to those pompous fricken Argo touchdowns. The offence and poor colaros gave them three TDs.

His passes were so poor, it was pathetic.

Now in hindsight, I still don't believe an un injured Zac would or could repeat passes that upon release of the ball don't come off the finger the way a football normally does.

Management and that stupid offensive coaching staff hung Buck out to dry.

Now here we are four months later, and we still have not rectified the problem. Management has done zero to support a nine fingered Zac.  No legit back up QB. Maybe even the Bombers might have the worst backup next to Calgary?  Secondly, in reality, no QB can survive with Dobson at left guard. I guess to the Bombers management, they let him walk.

In conclusion, if their stupid archaic philosophy of sitting on the extra cap money for some mistaken laden idea of waiting for that bolted to the NFL receiver to return they are wrong. They need an O line, offensive guard  They need a back up QB., that can play.

And I keep wondering, if MOS and the GM are playing out the string and bolting next year.

Ya that 4th quarter was the biggest meltdown I can recall watching the Bombers and I've been watching since 1976!! And to followup that performance, the OC gets promoted to HC and the RB coach gets an OC job. So in an obvious run situation, with your Qb's hand injured, you don't, and in the process, your offense gives up 21 points. Game over. The whole world has gone crazy!!

Who's to say it wasn't Buck pushing for Zach to stay in INT after INT?

Buck was down on the sidelines at the time and all season.  He was able to talk with and look at Zach a lot more than MOS would (who has to manage the whole game, not just 1 side).

Who's to say this didn't factor into us being more amenable to letting Buck get poached (finally)?

Not saying this is what happened, but it's equally as likely as your theory.

If you want controversy, find out what cut Zach's finger.  It never hit any helmet.  No one seems to care, but that single occurrence likely cost us a legit shot at the cup.

Our offense was struggling before the injury, it just spiralled to a fiery death afterwards!!

I have never been a BP fan, I think our offensive game plan in the big game has stunk under his call, and I was hoping we d get a new OC, now after seeing the selection I regret every time I cursed BP!!

I have the feeling if they come up flat this season, serious questions will be raised about how they dicked around and did little this off-season.

Ya but we've done so little in FA every season (at least the last 5-6).  And it's always worked out.

I think KW and MOS really like their jobs.  And they are mega cush jobs in terms of pay.  There's not much in Canada that pays that kind of salary.  They aren't going to do what they know to be dumb and game-losing!  They'll keep the gravy train rolling as long as possible.

Clearly from the signings and from KW's own words they are addressing the problem of early-season superstar injuries by hiring depth over #1 talent.  Basically every signing is this.  This is a huge departure from previous seasons.  I think the '24 start and the too-many-rookies-starting problem really burned into their brains and they never want to experience that again.

It also is clear KW isn't spending the extra $400k until he is dead clear on exactly what the new rules are.  He may also be playing coy with an eye to NFL returnees and other team TC & vet cuts.  MTL may have won the '23 cup because of having reserve SMS to make late season pickups... we may have all the leverage come Sep/Oct.
